They are a digital pioneer school and have led a group of 10 Special Schools in helping to develop the DCF and plan for implementation. How to move forward… Develop understanding of digital competence Explore roadmap for implementation of digital competence Begin to foster a strategic vision for digital competence in the context of your school Roadmap to success… Hwb for pupils… Set up class folders fo evidence. Hwb for staff A full audit of skills, hardware and software, including choosing 5 apps to leave on ipads to begin with. Full transition to Hwb for all email, announcements and document storage. A programme of training using a ‘buddy’ system, with creative timetabling to facilitate activities. Digital Competence assistants to help with creating guides and help cards, all stored on office 365 Bespoke training for admin staff to improve collaborative working and communication. Use of One Note for meeting notes, evidence and planning. Use of 360 Degree Safe tool to focus on sharpening online safety Hwb for Resources, Encyclopaedia Britannica and Networks. 6. Vision Schools should familiarise themselves with the DCF, begin to incorporate it into practice and start to develop a vision for its future integration within curriculum reform. What is the strategic vision for cross- curricular digital competence? 2. School Improvement Plan Is the DCF in the School Improvement plan for this year? If not, consider it for the plan for next year. (Resources, staffing etc.. need to be considered based on the vision for implementation). 3. DCF Co-ordinator This is a cross-curricular responsibility and should have the same status as the literacy and numeracy frameworks. This is not the role of the Head of ICT unless this is added to the Head of ICT's responsibilities in the same way as the role of the numeracy co-ordinator and the Head of Maths. 4. A thematic approach planning for coverage of multiple strands?
