Paul had a passion for telling people about Jesus. This passion motivated Paul to travel from town to town around the Mediterranean Sea starting churches. Below you will find clues to some of the details associated with Paul’s journey. Fit the answers into the path below. Use the letters already on the path to help your journey. Each letter is the end of the word before it and the beginning of the word after it. 1. What church sent Paul off with prayer on his first missionary journey? (Acts 1:1) 2. Who said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them? (Acts 1:2) 3. Paul and Barnabas went from town to _______ (Acts 15:36) preaching the good _____. (Acts 14:21) 4. Who was Paul’s partner on his 2nd missionary journey? (Acts 15:40) 5. “The churches were _____ in the faith and grew daily.” (Acts 16:5) 6. Lydia, a _____ in purple cloth listened to Paul outside the gate of Philippi. (Acts 16:14) 7. The next morning, after God sent an earthquake to free Paul and Silas from jail, the magistrates ordered they be _____. (Acts 16:36) 8. Paul traveled throughout Galatia and Phyrgia, strengthening all the _____. (Acts 18:23) 9. Appolos came to Ephesus and taught about Jesus. He had a thorough knowledge of the _____. (Acts 18:24) 10. God used Paul to perform miracles such as healing the _____. (Acts 19:12)

Here are some thoughts to discuss on your next family journey. By the way, “Thoughts to Ponder” does not mean these thoughts should be thrown in a pond. Instead, use your noodle to think about the deeper meaning. • Why are they called apartments, when they’re all stuck together? • Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song? • What would a chair look like if your knees bent the other way? • Why is a carrot more orange than an orange? • When I erase a word with a pencil, where does it go? • How much deeper would the ocean be if sponges didn’t grow in it? • Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

Turn up the CD player and charge those iPods! There’s some great Christian music being released October 26.

Jesus commanded each of us to go into the world and preach the gospel. In 2010, day to day life can get overwhelmingly busy. It can become easy to put off Jesus’ command “for a rainy day”. Below are some ideas to spark the flame within your own family to reach out to others everywhere.

Adopt a missionary family! Pray for them.

Email them once a week. Study their culture

Eat their food. Learn some of their language

Become a neighborhood missionary!

Mow a lawn. Wash a car.

Take some flowers next door. Write a card.

Watch some children. Pass out fresh baked cookies.

Minister in your own church! Pick up trash in their classroom. Send a pastor a thank you note.

Pray for their teachers. Sing in the kid’s choir.

Help with a younger class.

Enclosed in the newsletter are 4 KCC invites for your family to

use to invite your friends!!

Keep memorizing those scriptures and hiding them in your

heart!

Weekly Scripture can be found online!!
