The New Age CurriculumthIn the early 16 century the Italian philosopher Machiavelli observed:
“There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things.”
We ask parents to continue to trust us again. We Know that change is always challenging but we ask you to hold our hands in embracing this new evolutionary forward-thinking curriculum.
This curriculum will equip our children to face the age they will need to work and flourish in. This is known as 'The conceptual Age' or 'Creative Age' or 'Age of Imagination'. This will be playing a significant role in breaking the status quo of conventional schooling and have reinvented our learning vision where the focus is on creativity, critical thinking (including being aware, mindful and responsible consumers) collaboration, problem solving, connecting the dots, imagination and conceptual reasoning.
Our Curriculum: Instructional design and subject matter experts in the field of Neuroscience maintain
that as we enter the 21st century, our learning pattern needs to be dynamic and evolving, incorporating the needs of the society and the learner. Our dedicated in-house R & D team of instructional design experts who bring years of experience, know and understand this. Hence all content development revolves around this central information and shapes the unique Billabong High curriculum.
Our R & D team rigorously ensures that our curriculum:Our curriculum has been designed on Neuroscience: Scientific Brain-based principles on how the brain best learns.
Reaches out to the multiple ways in which students learn, based
on Dr.Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences.
Is Interdisciplinary and Theme-based to help students grasp
complex concepts to encourage long term retention and
understanding instead of rote memorization.
Uses Bloom's Taxonomy to foster higher order thinking skills like
application, exploration and creativity in students.
Is developmentally appropriate through all grades to support each
child's growth and learning.
