Simply Measured Facebook Analytics

To complete one of this week’s assignments, you will request one of the free Facebook reports. You can choose from:

▪ Free Facebook Fan Page Analysis– How effectively is your brand engaging on Facebook? Which posts and tactics are working?

▪ Free Facebook Content Analysis – Which content types are top performers and drive the most engagement?

▪ Free Facebook Competitive Analysis Report – How do we stack up to competitors on Facebook? What are other brands doing that works?

▪ Free Facebook Insights Analysis – How does my Facebook Fan Page perform across the board? To choose a report, hoover over the report type and click the green Continue button. Copy and paste your Facebook page’s URL into the Facebook field.

▪ To choose a report, click the report’s link. Copy and paste your Facebook page’s URL into the Facebook field and click the green Continue button.

▪ Instead of charging you, Simply Measured asks that you post about them on Facebook. Go ahead and click the green Post to Facebook button after reading/adjusting the message. (You can always hide this post if you want to.) I think a call-out on Facebook is a decent trade for the report you will receive.

Give Simply Measured permission to access your page, if it asks, and complete the

process.

It will take a moment for your report to process, but Simply Measured will email it to you

when it is ready.

Check your email shortly after running the report. Click the blue View Your Report link in

the email Simply Measured sends you. Click the green Blue Download to Excel button

either at the very top or bottom of the page. The button is located in both places.

Before downloading your Excel or PowerPoint file, explore the report on the web page. Hoover over the data to reveal additional statistics.

Once you open and enable editing on downloaded version of your report, you will be able to use Facebook Insights to edit it for future reports. Take note of interesting data you discover in your report. You will be writing a short essay to summarize the most valuable aspects of it
