A young network marketer was standing in the pants department of Nordstrom

looking for a new pair of pants and he overheard the salesperson selling a lady

on a sports coat for her husband.

She had given a few solid objections to which the salesperson eloquently diffused

and after he explained in detail the many benefits of each of the jacket's features,

she eventually chose to purchase it.

The networker was so impressed with this salesperson that after the lady had paid and left, he went up to the salesperson and commented

on how he also had experience in retail and how impressed he was with how he handled that

sale.

The salesperson was pleasantly surprised to receive such kind feed from out of the blue.

After some small talk, the networker went on to say that his company was expanding

and looking for people just like him.

He then handed him a business card and asked if the sales pro was open to new opportunities.

To which the sales pro smiled and said: “Absolutely".

The networker, introduced himself and then asked if he could get his email address

so he could send him a link to his website, and the salesperson was happy to offer it.

The two shook hands and the networker, said he needed to get going to meet a client and would be in

touch.

Later that night, the networker opened his email and there was a response form from his

website with the complete details of the salesperson

he'd met earlier that day.

The networker was elated. That networker was me.
