From the moment you arrive

the classic elegancehelps create the perfect atmosphere

Step inside and County Hall’s

distinctive style surrounds you; in the

towering bronze doors, the smooth

polished marble and the fresh, exotic

flowers. The ‘Noes Lobby’ was originally

a space where councillors adjourned

before rejecting a political bill.

Today the atmosphere is much warmer:

combining the grandeur and elegance

of this magnificent building with the

friendly and intimate welcome that

is pure Marriott.

Business Centre.

The aptly named Parliament Suite

offers superb views across the Thames

to Big Ben and Westminster Palace

as well as a range of state-of-the-art

technologies. There are two

wall-mounted plasma screens to give

presentations added impact and the

room has its own dedicated kitchen

and cloakroom. Light and airy, the

Parliament Suite is capable of

accommodating 90 people at a

reception or seating 70 theatre style.

King George V room with its fine marble

fireplaces, oak panelled walls and large

bay window. Named after King George V,

who laid the foundation stone of County

Hall in 1922 and visited on numerous

occasions, this room epitomises the

history and quality of the building.

For larger events or pre-dinner drinks

receptions, this room can be linked to

an adjoining room to create a large,

welcoming space.

Where traditional features and

modern technologieswork together to inspire Embracing technology, enduring history

At the London Marriott Hotel, County Hall, technology and tradition are both equally at home. Rooms are

fully air conditioned with controlled lighting and soundproofing. Flat panel video conferencing facilities sit

alongside oak panelled walls and plasma screen televisions stand proud next to portraits of some of

England’s most prestigious leaders.

The Herbert Morrison and William Wordsworth rooms epitomise this blend of classic and contemporary

styles. So while the William Wordsworth room boasts sleek wall-mounted plasma screen televisions and

stylish high-backed leather chairs, it also offers expansive views across the traditional Edwardian courtyard.

Unique and inspiring,

enjoy a private dinner in

The Library

The former Members’ Library, with its sweeping views across

the Thames, is a unique setting for a special occasion. At one

time a room for quiet reflection and contemplation, it is now

an inspiring space for sophisticated dining. The original books

and bookcases have all been painstakingly restored

and positioned to form intimate alcoves. The exquisite

Edwardian light fittings, oak panelling and open fireplaces

have retained their original quality. The soft fabrics and

exceptional modern cuisine all complete the experience.

Just across the corridor the Leaders’ Bar adds another

dimension to the room; set apart on an elevated terrace, it’s

a great place to begin your event with drinks and canapés,

whilst enjoying views across the hotel’s courtyard.

The Members’ Library

can be easily adapted

to suit your occasion

whether it’s a large

conference, drinks

reception or special

celebration.

The 200 bedrooms at the London

Marriott Hotel, County Hall provide

an ideal place to relax after the rigours

of work, or simply some exhaustive

sightseeing. Every room is air-

conditioned and many also offer

fantastic river views across the

Thames and beyond. And of course

those important little details haven’t

been overlooked; every room has

its own dedicated work area with

telephone, voicemail and Internet

links as standard.

Once the event is over you can lie

back and relax or step outside and

explore the wealth of attractions on

your doorstep. A short stroll along the

Thames will bring you to the London

Aquarium, Royal Festival Hall and

the South Bank Centre. Take a flight

on the innovative London Eye or step

in to the dramatic Turbine Hall at the

Tate Modern. There’s no shortage of

things to see and do.

Choose one of

County Hall’s

suites for that

of luxury.

a light lunch or a long, luxurious dinner.

With a focus on modern European

flavours, the restaurant offers a vibrant

menu, complemented by a buzzing

cocktail bar.

From here you can look out across the

Thames to the majestic Houses of

Parliament and Big Ben – it is, quite
