HOPE IN-BUILDING VOLUNTEERS

RSVP COOKBOOKS

The first RSVP-sponsored cookbook is now available.

There are 240 family-favorite recipes from RSVP volunteers and 8 from restaurants and caterers who participated in the

Taste of Southern Indiana events.

The cookbooks are only $8.00 each.

They make wonderful gifts and mementos. One RSVP mem-ber bought a cookbook for each of her grandchildren and wrote a personal note inside the cover. Now each of them has a personalized cookbook from “Grandma” to keep for

years to come.

To get a cookbook of your own, contact Ceil or Janet at 812-948-1815

Or drop by the RSVP office in the lower level of St. John’s Presbyterian Church

Every year, churches, organizations and individuals donate money to be used to provide new school clothing for Middle and High School students in need. This program is not for everyone who may be income-eligible but for those who have obvious and definite need. The teens must be referred by a Caseworker or School Counselor.

Each eligible student receives a $75.00 voucher to purchase the clothing. Vouchers are given before school starts so the students are able to return to school with new clothing.

After the Client receives a certificate, he/she can go to a local store to shop. The certificate clearly states what items may be purchased, and the client cannot receive cash back. If they purchase more than $75.00 worth of items, they must pay the difference.

We rely upon donations to keep Clothe-A-Teen going. We applied for a $5,000 matching grant from Kosair Charities for this program. In order to access the funds, we will have to match them, dollar for dollar. So, please consider making a donation designated to CAT. It will be used only for providing teens with back-to-school clothing.

Thank you.

2. Leading activities with Children

3. Teaching a Craft

4. Leading a Cooking Class

will provide the meal in August; after that it will be a “Pot Luck” event. The theme for the August gathering is “Come to the Luau”.
