Since March 2014, he had been driving to Des Moines for his woundcare, and was not happy with his treatment. When he found out he couldreceive wound care close to home, he asked to be referred to BCH. When hefirst saw the chamber he was a little surprised by the size and the fact that hewould be in a laying tube. His reaction was, “Are you kidding!?” He begantreatments in the chamber at the end of August and within a short amount oftime the nurses began to see positive results. “The treatment and care I havereceived is phenomenal,” he says. Through a partnership with Healogics, it was possible for BCH to offer thisnew and comprehensive wound care center. Healogics is the world’s largestwound care management company with over 500 hospital partners deliveringexcellent evidence-based care to patients with chronic wounds.
