Project Goal: Acquire foundational knowledge of college-level strategies and techniques to facilitate a smooth transition into college and high school. Critical Thinking Skills: 1. Big Idea: Make conclusions based on evidence that explain a collection of facts, details, or ideas and summarize information in a concise and succinct manner. 2. Language of Discipline: Know and use the tools that are used by experts in a field; use precise language when communicating, distinguish the appropriate use of terminology. 21 st Century Skills: 3. Technological Literacy: capable of utilizing the vast array of Internet resources to gather information; ability to research and collect data and select that which is most important; develop the skills required to understand and use visual imagery and graphics that are an important component of communicating via digital technology 4. Creative Thinking: ability to manage time, set specific goals and keep updating their knowledge to make sense of these changes; problem solve and think outside of the box to come up with creative methods tailormade for specific situations. 5. i. Main Title Section (A catching main title that grabs the reader’s attention. Ex: How Not To Die in College)

ii. Content Sections (all your research from step 2 for each of your academic skill/strategies)

iii. Essential Question Response Section (6-8Bullet (pearl) point response)

iv. Works Cited Section (Step 3) b. Name & Collegiate Academy Summer Task on

the bottom right c. Submitted electronically by Monday, August

14th by 7:30am.
