Counselors will begin scheduling individual freshman meetings in November and

this will continue through early 2021. In these meetings we will begin a 4-year plan for each scholar; this plan will outline their individual goals and projected academic path.

SENIOR - CLASS OF 2021Priority Items: November

For seniors applying to college, be aware that most colleges are test optional for this year due to the impacts that the Covid-19 pandemic has had on SAT and ACT testing opportunities, but there are some considerations you need to make. While most colleges are test optional, it is important that you confirm this with the colleges you are applying to. There may be colleges still requiring test scores

for admittance into their more competitive programs (i.e. Nursing, Engineering), so scholars should be sure to confirm this as well. Additionally, while some colleges may not require test scores as part of their application they may still be necessary for consideration for merit scholarships. Please reach out to your intended colleges with questions and for confirmation.

Financial Aid ResourcesThe cost of college can be overwhelming. Families may be eligible for financial assistance to help offset the cost of tuition, room and board as well as other expenses. The primary application for financial aid is the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). All scholars considering any form of post-secondary

education should complete this free application to determine how much assistance they are eligible to receive. The FAFSA website is https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. There are several resources available to help families learn about the types of financial aid applications, the factors that determine aid eligibility, and how to understand financial aid offers.
