track at Chakan and I am on my first quick lap astride what is afamiliar looking machine. What is not familiar is the way the bikesquats and holds firm as we make a rapid descent before beginningthe long uphill sweeping left corner to hit the long long long mainstraight. Earlier Bajaj Pulsars used to wriggle (and weavesomewhat) as you wound the throttle and this latter trait was allabout bravery coupled to skill on bikes which made the Indian

motorcyclist performance oriented.

The new - against all-new - Pulsar 220 DTSi is the bike of dreamsfor the Indian motorcycling masses, be it for the performanceoriented and also majorly for those who want to have somethingpowerful and supremely brilliant to handle in all types of ridingconditions.

Crouched as far as my huge girth would allow, the bike dropped intothe section I referred to and just continued on its intended trajectorywith no fuss or hint of waver. I was giving myself a chuckle that "boyriding my YamahaMT-01 had made me into an even better rider"but when I tipped the bike on its side and gave it more throttle thanat any times previous at this superb test track, I was howling with

delight!
