Harbor String Quartet Contract of Service This contract, for the personal services of the below named musicians, of 1835 Tree Line Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23454, herein called ARTIST, on the engagement described below, made this date ______________________between the undersigned purchaser of services, herein called PURCHASER. 7. PAYMENT TERMS:

a. PURCHASER will render a deposit check for $ _____________, payable to Harbor String Quartet at least 30 days prior to the engagement, to hold the date and to act as earnest money. (Please note: Your date and time is not reserved until contract and deposit have been received.) b. PURCHASER will render remaining amount due upon the ARTIST

arrival at place of engagement payable to the individual musicians to be named.

8. PURCHASER shall make arrangements to take care of ARTIST’S technical

needs, which in this case are:

a. Sufficient performing space (approx. 10’ x 8’) where ARTIST view ceremony.

b. Sufficient lighting. c. Four armless chairs. d. Outdoor temperatures must be between 60 degrees and 90 degrees

with shelter from rain and direct sunlight.

9. ARTIST shall provide the musicians required to perform the engagement and performers may or may not be the same performers as listed on the Web site or other promotional material(s) but in all cases shall be proficient musicians capable of performing the engagement.

10. If PURCHASER cancels or postpones the engagement without written notice to ARTIST within fifteen (15) days of the scheduled engagement described herein, PURCHASER shall pay ARTIST the full wage agreed upon. If written notice is extended to ARTIST between fifteen (15) and thirty (30) days prior to engagement, the deposit shall be retained by ARTIST. If PURCHASER renders written notice of cancellation thirty (30) days or more prior to the scheduled event, PURCHASER shall receive a full refund of their deposit.
