Newsletter – DECEMBER 2015
The last two months have been quiet hectic for MYM Stars team. Infact the year
that is passing by was full of many events. Here are some of activities from our
memories
1. “Bachpan ki khushali, dil se dipawali”- MYM Stars decided to celebrate
Diwali first with underprivileged children at Kodihalli Government school
before celebrating themselves. The day started with involving children in
many cultural activities followed with lunch. Gifts were distributed among
children and the day ended with bursting of crackers.
2. Diwali Sneh Milan and app Launch: We celebrated the festival of light
with family get together. MYM Stars app was launched on the same day.
Much of the hard work and efforts were put in by the star team members
to make the event a success.
3. Chennai Relief Fund: MYM stars joined the brigade for collection of relief
for flood affected victims in Chennai. Leading from front, a huge sum was
collected within a short span of time. Team members whole heartedly
supported the cause and readily came forward to help the people in
distress.
4. Online Kannada class-2: The second season of online kannada classes
came to an end. It’s a privilege for us to learn and understand the local
language for day to day hassles communication in public areas and
mingle with local people easily. The participants took the advantage of
the course from the comfort of their homes.

PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
For you and yours
Dear Reader
This year will pass by soon, we would be in 2016. While Sun and Moon will rise
again as this, Bangalore traffic will remain same, political party will play blame
game and Earth’s temperature will rise again. But let’s try to make it different 2016,
this is the time to make resolutions. Let’s think about doing something good not to
others but to our self. Let’s think about solar lamps can we buy or gift, lets think
about LED lights can be replace our CFL bulbs, let’s try composting unit at home or
at least once a week we will do car-pooling or use the public transport. This self-
awareness will make all the differences to our society. Some of us think why I
should do while the other are not doing. Some of us may think it is very small effort
would not make much of difference. But let me tell you my friend it is you, who will
make feel a difference. Let’s keep our ego aside and work on these small things it
may be your apartment, your layout, your friends or relative. Let’s take a step
forward and I can assure you would experience a new happiness and world of joy.
With Best Wishes for Coming New year of 2016, Myself and Punit wish your
success in every endeavour. Keep sending your views and thoughts

Benefits:
Improves body posture
Helps to lose weight in case of diabetes.
Relieves low grade back pain.
Steps:
1. Roll an ordinary towel to form a thick and stable ‘sausage’. Wrap it with some tape
or string so that it stays put.
2. Lay down on your back on a flat and hard surface, (beds and couches are too soft
so avoid them).
3. Place the towel at the height of your naval, where your spine begins to curve.
Once you are in correct position, place your feet shoulder width apart, with your
toes pointing inward toward each other.
4. Stretch your arms above your head, palms facing downward to floor with your little
fingers tips toughing together and close.
5. Lay still in this position for 5 -7 minutes. The exercise may feel little bit painful at
first but with practice it gets easier and easier. For best results repeat it 3 times a
day for at least 3-4 months

A scholar/ manager should have spiritual knowledge, devotion towards work, patience , endurance, moral strength
Only one criticism / blame may have to be faced by a manager having good patience. That is ‘the manager is a coward’’ he will not have to face any other blame because patience is a great quality which attracts many
Never advise those who do not deserve/ seek your guidance.
Never try to project yourself, never doubt others (for everything).
Do not show affection / love to those who do not reciprocate and never try to fight with strong and powerful people
One should never become crazy for money but should earn that through hard work.
Knowledge + experience + wisdom + action should work complementary to each other
Try to listen as much as possible from all sources
One should not get angry nor get excited / nor show the ego /nor be childish. He should not be a spent thrift and should not think ‘I am great and respectable’.
One should not disclose everything about a work
before it is completed.

Pabuji Ki Phad is a religious scroll painting of folk deities,
which is used for a musical rendition of the only surviving
ancient traditional folk art form, Phad painting in the world of
the epic of Pabuji, the Rathod Rajput chief. Bhopas of Pabusar
are the bards and also priests who are the traditional narrators
of this art form. The Phad is also spelt as “Par.”
Pabuji lived in the 14th century in a remote village known as Kulu in Rajasthan. Dhadal
Rathore of village Kolu had four children: two boys, Buro the older and Pabuji the younger
brother, and two girls, Sona and Pema. However, Pabuji was stated to be born to a
nymph and as foretold by the nymph she was to return after 12 years as a mare to be with
him. In his young age, Pabhuji fought against the Khici clan to evict them from his land
killed their leader, Jindrav Khinchi. He also acquired a black horse from Lady Daval
(goddess worshipped in Kolu) of Caran Clan and it is believed that this horse was in the
reborn form of his own mother. He then went on to defeat Mirza Khan.
Jugaad, is a colloquial term used in Hindi, referring to the way of doing things in order to make
sure they work for the while.. This they do so that costs can be evaded and the task is
completed easily. This is also called as Frugal Engineering Examples could be.. Telling
someone you've reached by giving a missed call instead of spending money on a full fledged
call.
Most common example of Juggad is a low-cost improvised vehicle, which typically costs around
Rs. 50,000 (about US$800). Jugaads are powered by diesel engines originally intended to
power agricultural irrigation pumps. They are known for poor brakes, and cannot go faster than
about 60 km/h (37 mph). The vehicle often carries more than 20 people at a time in remote
locations and poor road conditions. Today, a jugaad is one of the most cost effective
transportation solutions for rural Indians
Why it is Important for us to think of Juggad:
1. It let us find solution in face of adversity
2. Allows to do more and innovatively with same resources
3. Give us out of box thinking and bring flexibility in our attitude
4. Keeps the technology simple, can be replicated and repaired easily
5. Saves resources and saves money
6. Gives Satisfaction

“Plan the work and then work the plan."
The main question that needs to be asked when someone makes a New Year's resolution goal is: why do they fail?
They fail because they do not have a plan of attack.
Making a New Year's resolution is the perfect time to set goals for the entire year and then plan how are we going to
achieve them. Make a few resolution goals that you can strive to attain by focusing a little energy on each one every
week or every other week. If your goal is to lose a certain amount of weight by the end of the year, then you need to
have a game plan in place on how you are going to achieve that. In addition, you need to set some mile stone dates
where you are going to re-evaluate your goals and make any changes that you think are necessary in achieving them
by year end.
1. Pick Realistic Goals: One of the biggest problems in keeping a resolution is that we simply aim too high. Keep
the goals small and simple. You'll find this tip alone will help you attain your goals.
Take the reading example. If you want to read 100 books a year, that could seem pretty overwhelming. If you
break that down to reading one book every 10 days, it becomes a lot more realistic. Saying you want to organize
your entire house in two months is enthusiastic but a bit unrealistic. I suggest picking one space that’s a priority
for you to get organized (an office for example) and break it down into smaller organizing chunks. For example:
Jan = organize desktop; Feb = organize file cabinet; Mar = organize book shelf; April = organize supply cabinet,
and so on.
2. Define your goal. Saying you'll lose weight, change your job, or go back to school isn't good enough. You need
to write down how specifically you are going to move toward those goals. Develop specific, concrete ways to
reach your goal, but keep each step along the way small. Make sure they are in the present tense. the clarification
of goals makes them seem more feasible in your mind.
3. Set a Schedule: If you imagine your resolution as small, actionable steps, the achievement of the goal
becomes a lot more feasible in your head. If you set no schedule for yourself, or -- as most people do -- set an
unrealistic schedule, you are setting yourself up to fail. The schedule should be written down; just like your goal
and the steps you will take to reach each goal. f your schedule involves things which need to be done daily or
weekly, set specific times of the day or specific days of the week which you will use to work on it. Then do it, and
keep written track of your keeping to that schedule. Losing a few pounds over a few months is realistic; losing a
few pounds in a few days is not.
4. Don't Be Upset by Setbacks: The old adage in therapy is two steps forward, one step back. It does no good
to get depressed or disillusioned by setbacks in trying to reach your goals. It’s normal to feel fear, doubt, or worry
— but to make progress, it’s important to move past those negative feelings. If you find negative thoughts
surfacing, don’t criticize yourself, but stay in control. If your thoughts don’t support you or your goals, let them go
— they’re not doing you any good. Remember that self-doubt thoughts are often misleading and downright wrong,
and should be ignored.
5. Re-Frame Your Resolutions: Take a new perspective on goals. Remind yourself that you’re good enough,
each and every day and that your goals are just serving as a means to be better.
6. Tell People about Your Resolutions: Share your resolution goals with three to four people who will ask you
about them and hold you accountable in achieving them. Post them. When you wake up in the morning and go to
bed – just look at them (tape them on the inside of your medicine cabinet door or have them on your smart device
or pad).
7. Reward yourself: If you successfully achieve your milestones, reward yourself with a small token of hard work
and discipline, but don't go overboard, you still have to complete the goal in its entirety. Resolutions are things
we’ve put off in the past because we dread them and have procrastinated on them. There’s a reason why you’ve
got to kick yourself in the butt to get it done, which makes it all the more motivating to accomplish them if you
establish a nice reward for yourself. As with any goal you set and achieve, be sure to reward yourself.
