Guidance and Practice for Assessing Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Event Description Assessing students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) is important for identifying student needs and providing appropriate supports. In this one-day workshop, attendees will receive guidance and instruction on how to appropriately administer standardized assessments. Guided discussions will also focus on how attendees can contribute to their students’ evaluations. Participants will: 1. List six key areas of consideration when evaluating a student who is DHH 2. Identify how to contribute to the assessment process as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team 3. Increase competence in administering standardized assessments Details Date and Time: October 18, 2019 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (doors open at 8 a.m.) Location: Macomb ISD, Room 103 A/B 44001 Garfield Rd. Event Description

Assessing students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) is important for identifying student needs and providing appropriate supports. In this one-day workshop, attendees will receive guidance and instruction on how to appropriately administer standardized assessments.
