Skills You Will Use For A LifetimeThe QSP Program gives girls the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills in:Decision Making, People Skills, Money Management, Business Ethics and Goal Setting.

Girls learn while earning proceeds for their Troop or Community (Service Unit). These proceeds will expand their Girl Scouting experiences since the proceeds are used for girl programs and leadership activities. This fun, safe program can help girls, as individuals or as a team, set goals and prepare for success.

The ProductsFamily, friends and neighbors of Girl Scouts have the opportunity to financially support Girl Scouts by purchasing magazine subscriptions and renewals, books, nuts and candy.

People of all ages and demographics read magazines. The average family orders 6 magazine subscrip-tions a year! It is easy for girls to earn wonderful incentives and proceed dollars for activities.

In addition to magazines, there are 15 varieties of nut and candy items girls can offer customers. The items are reasonably priced so there is surely a nut and candy item offered for everyone they know.

Girls can sell just magazines, just nuts and candy, or both. Any way they choose to participate, they have the power to set their goals and will be rewarded for their hard work.

New This Year“Journey of a Lifetime” Girl Scout 100th Anniversary Tin filled with Mint Treasures.

Sugar Free Chocolate Truffles for those customers on special diets, or anyone who enjoys chocolate.

Gluten Free All Natural Blueberry Pomegranate Nut Crunch, a delicious treat of healthy ingredients.

Deluxe Pecan Clusters, that amazing combination of pecans, caramel and milk chocolate.

Thank You Program – Customers make a donation of $5 towards magazine subscriptions to be deliv-ered to military organizations.

All customer payments must be received when orders are taken for magazine/book orders, along with candy and nut orders.

FALL

SALE

2011 11

Independent Girl ScoutsParticipate in Fall SaleRead all about it...Learning business skills, budgeting and planning isn’t just for girls in troops. It’s for all Girl Scouts. By participating in a product sale, you not only learn to stay organized and to reach a goal, you also learn to self motivate and believe in yourself.

The GSNENY Pathways allow Girl Scouts to participate in the sale on their own, selling directly with their Community (Service Unit). Her Community QSP Manager works with her directly, just a Troop Leader does with the girls in her troop. My Daughter’s Troop is not selling fall products – Can my child still participate? YES

Can my Girl Scout still earn incentives? YESDoes my Girl Scout still earn Troop Funds? NO – because she now earns – Community Funds.

Community Funds are accessible just like the Troop Funds were. Girls can request for their community (Service Unit) to assist them in paying for Girl Scout programming, Girl Scout travel and Girl Scout Experiences. Your Girl Scout can now work towards going to camp or even that Alaskan Adventure.

Want to know more about the GSNENY Girl Scout Pathways and product programs? Contact the Product Sales Team at [email protected] and we will be happy to help you learn more about our fun fundraising opportunities!

FOR LEADERSThis is a quick guide of the due dates for Leaders. Parents please be aware that these are the dates leaders have paper work due to Council. This means that the Troop needs their troop information from you ahead of time. Parents please use the dates given to you by your leader, not these dates below.

What to give to your girls and their parents:•Activity Sheet

•Girl/Family Guide

•Permission Form

•Girl Sales Packet: which contains an order card, magazine order forms, address booklets etc.

Attend QSP Training and receive program materials for your troop. This is a required training for all Troop QSP Managers. Hold a QSP Program information meeting for troop members and their parents and distribute materials.

Order taking begins. Log into nut-E and update all troop informa-tion (contact person, address, phone number, troop level, num-ber of girls, etc.) and enter girls first and last names.

Girls may sell through this day. Order taking ends and Troop QSP Managers collect girls orders, payments and write receipt for all monies received – must have parent/guardian sign receipt.

Troop QSP Manager deadline for entering all girl orders and choice/size of incentives if necessary into nut-E

Troops submit ONE troop check for payment and both T-2 re-ports from nut-E (Nut/Candy & Magazines and Incentives) to the Community (Service Unit) QSP Manager along with completed address booklets and magazine order forms.

Delivery of Nuts/Candy and Incentives to Communities (Service Units); pick up troop orders, verify count of all items and receive a copy of signed receipt indicating items received by each parent.
