Operation with the Controls on the t j / Set Operation with the Controls on the TV Set Tuning to TV Stations

TV stations transmit television programmes on different channels, eg : the TV station Dil lberg (Bay.) the first programme (ARD) on channel 6, the TV station Nurnberg / Schwabach the second programme (ZDF) on channel 34, etc.

The fol lowing adjustments are required only when setting up the set for the first time or when the reception conditions have changed (eg: when changing the place of residence or after the set has been connected to a cable system).

The TV set is provided with 49 station positions which can be assigned different stations.

In addition, an AV programme position is provided for playback from a video recorder.

TV Standards

The unit is capable to reproduce in colour the programmes from TV stations (also those delivered by satellites, cable TV systems, or video recorders) transmitted according to the colour standards PAL, SECAM and NTSC.

For this purpose, the unit needs two sets of information: the standard code (see table) and the channel number of the respective station.

Information about the channel/special channel numbers and the TV standards can be obtained from the post office, your specialized dealer, or the after-sales service.

TV stations of different countries operate with different TV standards. The table shows the different standards and countries. If you wish to tune to channels of these stations, you must also select the correct standard.

Code Standard Tone (MHz) Application

nO CCIR (PAL/SECAM) 5.5 FM eg :FRG,GDR, Austria, Switzerland, Italy

nO NTSC (4.43MHz-colour)

5.5 FM NTSC video recorder playback with corresponding recording

n l FR-L (SECAM) 6.5 A M France only

n2 GB-I (PAL) 6 F M e g : Great Britain, Ireland Hongkong(BFN)

n3 OIRT (SECAM/PAL) 6.5 FM eg: Eastern Bloc States, U.S.S.R, China
