    QuantifiersA quantifier expresses quantityas its name

    implies.

    Words that modify nouns.They can be used with both countable or

    uncountable noun to express amount orquantity.They tell us how many or how much.

    Selecting the correct quantifiers depends onyour understanding the distinction betweencount and non-count nouns.

    Some adjectives and adjectivalphrases can only go withuncountablenouns (salt, rice,money, advice), and some canonly go with countablenouns

    (friends, bags, people).
