27 th April – 1 st May Hello to all the girls and boys in Room 4, Room 7 and Room 8. We hope you all enjoyed the learning activities last week and we also hope you enjoyed lots of fun time with your family.
Parents – We are very aware that every home is different and this presents different challenges and difficulties. We don’t want you to worry about your child’s education. All this work is revision and consolidation of work. When this is all over and children return to school we will all work hard to make sure your child reaches their full potential. We are very proud of all the help you are giving to your child.

Poem of the week
On The Farm
Horses, Donkeys, cows that moo,
Chickens, kittens, piglets too,
Fish that swim down in the farm,
Ducklings quacking all day long.
All these animals you can see
If you go to the farm with me.
Phonics
Revise the letter names and sounds ck, e, h, r, m, d
Find five objects in your house that begin with each sound.
Use your letters in your folders to make words.

Story Time
Pick a storybook that you have at home and ask a family member to read it to you.
When you are reading stories with your child, please discuss the title, author and the blurb at the back of the book. Read half of it and discuss what they think might happen next. Read the end of the story and ask them to re-tell it to another family member. Encourage them to use the beginning, middle and end. Ask questions about the story, the setting, the characters and ask them what their favourite part was. They can also draw pictures and write sentences from the book.
