Getting Started at OHNLP

Go to ohnlp.org

Follow the "Getting Involved" link in the side navigation bar:

Follow the "request a user ID" link:

That link will open your mail client, addressed to an OHNLP Wiki administrator. Compose your email and send your request for an OHNLP Wiki user ID to be created.

The administrator will create a user ID for you - you will receive an email notification when that is done.

Creating a Wiki User ID

To add a tool to the Tool List:

Go to http://ohnlp.org Log in using the Log in link in the upper right. Follow the Tool List link in the side navigation bar. Follow the Add or modify an OHNLP Tool entry link That opens up the OHNLP Tool Form

Adding to the Tool List

On the OHNLP Tool Form:

Enter the name of your tool and click the "Create or edit" button.

By the way, to later edit the information for your tool as shown on the Tool List page, you use the same form as above:* Follow the Tool List link in the side navigation bar.* Enter the name of the tool and click the "Create or edit" button.

On the Edit OHNLP Tool Form page, fill in the fields.

For the License Type, enter an abbreviation such as ALv2, GPLv3, GPLv2, etc. ALv2 is for the Apache License Version 2.0 GPLv3 is for the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3 GPLv2 is for the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 For the Project Page, enter a URL in the following format http://ohnlp.org/index.php/NAME_Project_Page replacing NAME with your tool’s name.

When done, click the “Save page” button.(next slide >>>)

The previous step should take you to the Tool List entry for your tool.

Your tool has now been added to the Tool List table.

However, the Project Page for your tool has not been created yet.

Here is an example of the Tool List entry for MedTime after the MedTime tool was added.

Follow the link in the Project Page row to create the Project Page for your tool.

If you created a Tool Project Page called NAME, you would see this:

Click the “edit this page” link and create your page.Some things you might want to include on this page Links to your documentation Links to your source code repository Examples of output

Be sure to click the “Save page” button when done.

Adding a Project Page

After you’ve created your Tool List entry, for your tool to appear on the Tool List page, you need to Edit and simply resave the Tool List page for your tool to appear in the table

Updating the Tool List Page

Once you are editing the Tool List page, add a comment to the Summary and click the “Save page” button.

Once the page is saved, you should be returned to the OHNLP Tool List page and you should see your tool in the table.

To add a resource to the Resource List:

Go to http://ohnlp.org Log in using the Log in link in the upper right. Follow the Resource List link in the side navigation bar. Follow the Add or modify an OHNLP Resource entry link That opens up the OHNLP Resource Form Enter the name of your resource and click “Create or edit”

If you selected a Tool Name when you created Resource entry, and you want your resource shown in the table of resources on the tool’s page, you need to do the following:

Follow the link within the table of information for your tool that is in the Tool Name row.

Once on the page for the Tool, simply edit the page and resave it to get the Resources table for that tool updated.
