Getting the Most Out ofthe Consumer Detail

You’ve just found someone that looks like the ideal prospect. Congratulations! Open up the customer detail, and you are faced with what might seem like a dizzying array of information. Relax, it’s going to be ok! Everything here can help you save time and understand the customer before you ever contact them:

What demographic does your contact fit into? What’s their income, what kind of products do they buy? Get a quick read on their housing and mortgage situation. If you are a political group, get information about their political leanings and contribution history.

New Lead Alerts Salesgenie adds new contacts, including new homeowners, to its database each week – and chances are a few of them will meet your criteria. There is just one thing you have to do, and it is not hard:

After running your first search in the new movers database, just go to the alerts icon on the top left corner of your results. Name the alert, and decide whether to receive the email on a weekly or monthly basis. That's it!

Data Enhancement You have plenty of contacts on file, but you also know it’s hard to keep them current and you might be missing important information like email addresses or useful home ownership info. Who has the time to keep up?

Well, Salesgenie’s database has a lot of that information. Salesgenie’s special feature called ‘data enhancement’ will help you. There are two ways to do it:

• If you have your contacts in a spreadsheet, go to the data enhancement tab right on the top of your Salesgenie homepage, click ‘Get Started’, and follow the simple instructions from there.

• If you use salesforce.com to manage your contacts, you can check your contacts stored there against our database with Salesgenie Enhance.

Saved Searches Chances are, you are going to be using the same basic search parameters every time you jump on Salesgenie – generally your business will take you in one search direction.

Saved searches are a great way for you to search even faster. Search once and then click on the save icon on top of your search results. Name the search and click save. Come back again and your search will be available to run right from your home page.

Google MappingRoad trip! Time to jump in that old sedan, push aside the old fast food wrappers and make some face-to-face visits. If you are planning to visit a specific area or route, it is very helpful to actually see where you need to head.

Enter Salesgenie’s powerful map tool. From your search sidebar, go to ‘Map Based Search’.

• Draw a shape or radius right on the map. You’ll instantly get a list of all the individuals that fit your criteria in that area.

• If you have a person you are going to visit, map the location, and find similar people in the same area by searching for nearby neighbors.

• If you want to know what businesses are on a specific route, select ‘Drive Route’ to plan your trip based on your start and end address. Print out your results, rev your engine and get going!
