Gencontrol III

The GENCONTROL III™ is a fully automatic burner control system developed exclu-sively for industrial rotary drying applications.

The versatility of the GENCONTROL III™ provides for two modes of operation, fullyautomatic or manual. In automatic mode, the GENCONTROL III™ integrates threemodes of temperature control, Proportion band, Automatic reset, and Rate mode,that provide smooth and accurate temperature adjustment and minimize fuel surgesand spikes in the process. The control accuracy is increased by the "advanced tem-perature detection" (ATD) circuit that monitors stack temperature changes due tomoisture and feed rate changes and automatically makes corrections to the firingrate.

Standard burner safeguards include interlocks for the blowers, fuel requirements,purge cycle, ignition timing, flame detection and thermocouple. A pyrograph chartrecords aggregate temperature. Options for recording other temperatures are available.

Packaged in a lightweight colorfast composite enclosure, the GENCONTROL III™ canbe countertop or shelf mounted, and the hinged front control panel allows easyaccess for field connections and troubleshooting.

The GENCO GENIE™ is a fully integrated semi-automatic control system, used to control the start-up sequence, firing rate and safe operation of industrial burnersfor rotary drying applications.

The GENIE™, a user-friendly analog control system, is fully interlocked with safe-ty features normally found on fully automatic control systems. Built-in interlocksensure the exhaust fan and burner blowers are operating and the fuel system ispurged prior to ignition. A "Flameguard" interlock shuts the burner down if anunsafe condition is present.

The GENIE™ utilizes a platinum resistance temperature detector for fast, accu-rate aggregate and stack temperature functions and the large needle gauges pro-vide easy monitoring of burner position and aggregate and stack temperatures tothe operator. Dual stack temperature setpoints protect the baghouse from high temperature conditions.

Cleverly packaged in a rugged steel enclosure, the GENIE™ that can be counter-top, shelf or wall mounted, and the hinged front control panel allows easy accessfor field connections and troubleshooting.

The Gencontrol 4™ is a fully automatic "digital" burner control system developed exclusively for industrial rotary drying applications requiring UL795 or FM specification.

An alternative to analog based systems; the Gencontrol 4™ is a fully automatic digitalcontrol system with advanced programmable safety interlocks and pre-sets. Lights onthe panel indicate exactly which component is the cause of a flame failure for easytroubleshooting. The Gencontrol 4™ integrates three modes of temperature control:Proportion band, Automatic reset, and Rate mode. The control functions include"advanced temperature detection" (ATD) to quickly adjust for moisture and mass mate-rial flow changes. A digital temperature controller provides completely automatic self-modulating burner positioning for smooth and accurate adjustment, minimizing fuel surges and spikes to the process.

Digital Burner Control

Automatic Damper PositionerThe GENCO AR-7™ Automatic Damper Positioner is an independent airflowcontrol system that regulates excess combustion air to the drying system.

Capable of both fully automatic and manual control modes, the AR-7™utilizes an automatic preset transducer that senses the pressure drop at theburner and signals the controller to adjust the exhaust fan damper tothe optimum level of draft within the preset limits.

A unique homing circuit automatically closes the exhaustdamper on start-up to minimize excess fan loading and incorporates a unique30-second purge cycle prior to ignition. The AR-7™ is available as a retrofitdesktop unit or as part of the integrated Gencontrol III™ burner console.

The SA™ Electric heater is a deluxe pre-heater for use withviscous fuels such as no. 4, 5, and 6 or reclaimed oils. TheSA™ heater can quickly and efficiently boost oil tempera-tures on demand to achieve optimum viscosity for properatomization of heavier fuels. The design of the SA™ con-sists of a hollow jacketed cylinder with a series of internalheat tubes. Each tube houses a specially wound wire coilelement that is precisely wound to the exacting specifica-tions to provide fast and even heat distribution. Sizesare available from 50 to 200 Kilowatts.

The heat exchanger is skid mounted andthermally insulated with an embossed alu-minum skin for maximum efficiency anddurability.

The PI™ Electric heater is an economically designed immersionheater for use with viscous fuels such as no. 4, 5, and 6 orreclaimed oils. The PI™ heater can quickly and efficiently boostoil temperatures on demand to achieve optimum viscosity forproper atomization of heavier fuels. An effective compliment toolder or existing heating systems, the PI™ can be added inseries to provide additional heat exchange as required. Sizes areavailable from 48 to 144 Kilowatts.

The OIL™ Electric heater is a deluxe counterflowpre-heater for use with viscous fuels such as no.4, 5, and 6 or reclaimed oils. The OIL™ heatercan quickly and efficiently boost oil temperatureson demand to achieve optimum viscosity for prop-er atomization of heavier fuels. The design of theOIL™ heater consists of a steel cylinder with aninternal cylindrical fuel manifold. Heated thermalfluid is circulated through the inner manifold whilefuel oil is circulated counter-current through theexternal jacket, thus providing optimum heatexchange and transfer to the fuel. Sizes areavailable from 150 to 800,000 Btu/hr.

The heat exchanger is skid mounted and thermal-ly insulated with an embossed aluminum skin formaximum efficiency and durability.

Uniform pressure and volume are critical to awell-balanced and efficient combustion system.GENCO'S HPOD™ fuel pump is specificallydesigned for high-efficiency Genco combustionsystems requiring higher pressure for optimumatomization. The HPOD™ pump unit is capableof displacing light to heavy fuels and is pre-pipedto a strainer assembly. A large TEFC motor drivesthe pump ensuring positive torque and flow.
