Why Handwriting?

• Handwriting and spelling difficulties in later grades affect the composition quality and amount that children are willing to write.

• Both skills are directly taught and reinforced so that students get a foundation for writing.

• Handwriting is closely linked to sound-symbol knowledge.

• All skills are taught using kinesthetic and tactile memory.

• Students systematically learn punctuation, capitalization, and proofreading skills.

How will I set up my classroom? When will I use this program? How will I service tier 2 children? Any other questions?
