    Banana smoothie

    A deliciously healthy way to start the day, this

    smoothie is full of bananas, honey, and yoghurt with

    just a hint of cinnamon. It's breakfast in a glass and a

    great way to have a meal on the run.

    Ingredients:

    2 cups skim milk

    2 bananas

    1 honey spoon

    1/2 cup plain yoghurt

    1/2 cinnamon spoon

    6 ice cubes

    Method:

    Put all ingredients in a blender making sure that the

    honey is the last ingredient added.

    Blend until all ingredients are smooth.

    Serve in two tall glasses with a shake of cinnamon on

    top and a slice of banana to garnish.

    can be assured there are no additives with this easy 3-

    ingredient recipe that uses only juice, raspberries and

    gelatine you come up withidea of other fruits.Serving Size: Makes1 litre

    3-4 hours refrigeration

    Ingredients:

    4 cups (1L) apple juice

    1 cup frozen raspberries

    1 tbsp gelatine

    Method:

    In a medium saucepan, place 2 cups (500ml) apple juice

    and the raspberries. Bring it to the boil. Remove from

    heat and whisk in gelatine to dissolve. Stir through

    remaining apple juice.

    Pour juice through a strainer to remove raspberry

    seeds, then pour strained juice into moulds or a bowl.

    Refrigerate for 3-4 hours, or overnight, to set.

    Chocolate dipped appleslices

    If you are looking for a naughty-but-nice party

    treat then these chocolate dipped apple slices will fit

    the bill. Decorate them with sprinkles, nuts or

    shredded coconut and they will disappear quick

    sticks!

    Ingredients: 4 Pink Lady apples

    skewers

    400g milk chocolate melts

    sprinkles

    crushed nuts

    shredded coconut

    Method:

    Step 1. Wash apples and remove cores.

    Step 2. Slice each apple into eighths. Push skewers intothe base of each slice.

    Step 3. Melt chocolate in the microwave or over adouble boiler.

    Step 4. Dip apple slices in chocolate and lie on a bakingpaper covered tray. Decorate with sprinkles, nuts or

    shredded coconut and serve.

    Watermelon fangs

    Serving Size:Makes 8 sets of fangs

    Egg free, Gluten free, Lactose free, Nut free

    Ingredients:

    Quarter of watermelon cup desiccated coconut

    Method:

    Wipe skin of watermelon to get rid of any dirt.

    Slice watermelon into 16 slices. Use a small knife to cut

    a zigzag pattern of fangs into each piece of melon.

    ArrAnge melon pieces into 8 mouths And sprinkle the

    pointy bits with coconut to make the white fangs.

    Strawberry mice

    These delicious strawberry mice are a great healthy

    choice and cute to boot. You can make up otheranimals.

    Ingredients:

    1 punnet strawberries

    black writing icing

    1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

    1/4 cup almond flakes

    2 straps raspberry licorice

    100g Swiss cheese

    Method:

    Step 1 Remove the green stems from each strawberry.Slice a small slice from one side of each strawberry so

    it will sit flat on the plate.

    Step 2. Use the black writing icing to stick a choc chipon the pointy end as a nose.

    Step 3 Use the writing icing to create eyes. Poke 2 slotswith a sharp knife and slide in 2 almond flakes as ears

    per mouse.

    Step 4 Use a skewer to poke a hole into the berry andslide in the licorice as a tail. Cut the cheese into

    wedges and serve with the strawberry mice

    Strawberry instantpudding jelly cups

    This simple pudding recipe is quite simply a party in a

    cup. Layers of brightly coloured sweet treats will

    delight kids - who'll love to help to mix everything

    up.

    Ingredients:

    1 packet strawberry instant pudding

    1 packet of lime jelly

    8 clear plastic 200ml capacity cups

    3 cups Kellogg's Froot Loops

    Method:

    Make the instant pudding and the jelly as per the

    packet instructions.

    Fill the cups with instant pudding mix up to 1/3 and

    allow to set in fridge while jelly is cooling.

    Sprinkle 1/4 of the Kellogg's Froot Loops over the

    pudding and top to 2/3 with the cooled jelly, allow

    to set in fridge until firm.

    Just before serving add the remaining Kellogg's FrootLoops over the cups for extra crunch.

    Traditional lemonade

    Nothing beats the taste and tang of a good

    homemade, traditional lemonade for quenching a

    thirst. The tartness of lemon, the sweetness of sugar

    and fizzy bubbles make it a refreshing - and easy to

    make - drink. So why not teach the kids how

    lemonade should really taste?

    Ingredients:

    300g sugar

    6 lemons 3 cups (750mL) water

    Soda water, to serve

    Method:

    Peel lemon rind into strips. Squeeze juice from lemons

    into a jug, cover and store in the fridge.

    Place the sugar in a glass mixing bowl, stir in the

    lemon rind, cover with plastic wrap and leaveovernight.

    Add 3 cups of boiling water to sugar and rind, stir

    until sugar has dissolved and add lemon juice.

    Strain syrup into a glass bottle, allow to cool and

    then store in fridge.

    To serve, pour a small amount of syrup into a glass

    (less than you would use to make up cordial) and fill

    Gummi Bear lollipops

    Do you have lots of Gummi bears at your house? Want

    to do something fun with them? Melt them into these

    cute lollipops for a fun activity with the kids.

    Ingredients:

    1 pkt of small Gummi bears

    lollipops sticks

    Method:

    Preheat oven to 175C or 155C fan-forced. Line a baking

    tray with baking paper.

    Line up rows of three bears on the tray.

    Place in the oven for 2 minutes.

    bears. Leave to cool and peel off the baking paper.
