TOGETHER WE LEARN
Franklin Students Make a Splash at Highlands Swimming Carnival!
Franklin proudly congratulates the amazing achievements of our swimming champions! Our students were
very excited to travel to Gundagai last Thursday to take part in the Highlands Swimming Carnival. The spirit
of sportsmanship and fun was evident by the amount of cheering coming from the side of the pool. After
an incredible effort Kian Knight, Mia Buckingham and Ella McLennan will progress to the next level of
competition at the Riverina Swimming Carnival in Albury. Franklin would like to extend a big thank you to
the amazing parents that helped Mr Crane out on the day!
Franklin’s Sporting Success
A fantastic day was had by Matthew Ferguson,
Preston Loneragan, Nate Cobden and Kian Knight
at the PSSA tennis trials in Wagga Wagga. The
boys played exceptionally well in the summer
conditions. Matthew Ferguson will represent
Franklin Public School in Griffith at the Highlands
level next.
Strong Support from our Community
Franklin Public School would like to thank the View
Club for their generous donation last week. In yet
another example of the strong support our school
receives, they presented us with classroom supplies
and teaching resources such as Mathematics
dictionaries. The new equipment and supplies has
been welcomed by our students and teachers.
