Choose any 3-digit num-ber. Create a number pattern (of 10 numbers) starting at this number and subtracting 9 each time.

Cards & NumbersYou will need a partner and a deck of cards. Each student takes 4 cards and makes 2, 2 digit numbers. Add the numbers together and describe strategy you used to your partner. Winner is child with the highest total.

MathematicsPractice writing/saying your 6 times tables.

Our number for today is 72. Draw and write everything you know about 72 (you can use any operation).

Speed -‐ Top SpeedYou will need a part-ner and a deck of cards.

2 players are needed. Students are given 4 cards to hold and other cards are ar-ranged as shown be-low.

Students place cards on middle pile accord-ing to strategy. Strate-gies may include: doubles, friends of ten, count by 2s 5s etc. Winner is the first to finish cards.

GeographyChoose a country that is not Australia and re-search it. How far is it from Australia? Is it in the Northern or Southern hemisphere? What is the population? What is the climate? How is it differ-ent and/or similar to Australia?

Science and Techno-logyDraw a birds-eye view of your house layout. label each room and then write a brief description about what each room is used for and who uses it the most.

PDHPEKeep a diary of physical activity you participate in each day this week.

Record the time spent each time. How could you improve your throw-ing, catching or kicking skills?
