1.2 Clearance of existing land, vegetation

and buildings?

Site consists of developed government

owned land along with trees and bushes.

Government housing and small shops shall

be relocated to existing clear parcels of land

within the site. After which the buildings shall

be cleared for further development.

Environment Bio-diversity Study is being

done. Most trees are saved within the project

area. In case, the trees can‟t be saved, they

are transplanted within the site as per the

Tree Management Plan for development of

the project area. As per the survey

conducted, tree location and details are

attached as Annexure V. (Survey Report of

Trees: Girth of 5 cm radius)

The Estimated Total Solid waste generation is about 58.93 TPD

Source Segregation: Primary

segregation of waste at source (within

plots) is proposed. The segregated

waste shall be collected as dry and

wet waste by waste inlets provided in

individual building sand public areas.

The chutes in buildings shall transport

the waste through Automated Waste

Collection (AWC) system to waste

collection station. The waste inlets in

public areas/ commercial

establishments shall be also

connected to AWC system.

Transfer station: The dry and wet

waste shall be collected separately by

the AWC system. The wet waste

collected will be transported to

processing plant. The dry waste shall

be further undergoing secondary

segregation. The recyclable waste

collected shall be sold to recyclable

vendors. The inert waste shall be

send to the SLF.

Transportation: the wet waste shall

be transported in closed containers to

the designated processing in Plot 64.

The inert waste from the transfer

station shall be further transferred to

proposed Sanitary Landfill site for

Bhopal City.

Processing Plant: It is proposed that

most of the biodegradable waste shall

be treated within the project boundary

area and only inert and dry waste

shall be further taken for treatment &

disposal. Composting or Bio

Methanation facility is proposed in

decentralized manner for waste

treatment. This facility shall be

provided in utility areas in the master

plan in plots 64 & 44.

Disposal: The inert waste generated

during the processing and

segregation of waste shall be

disposed at the centralized SLF

dedicated for Bhopal City.

Biomedical waste The Bio Medical Waste (BMW) generated

from Govt. and Private Hospitals are

bags as per BMW Rules 2016. BMW wastes

shall be collected from the hospitals / Nursing

Home within project boundary and

transported in close vehicles to Private all

currently handling the BMW Waste. This

facility is privatized and is proposed to be

used for any BMW waste generated in future.

disposed as per the Guidelines for

Environmentally Sound Management of E

Waste, by MoEF&CC and CPCB. It is

proposed that E-waste collection drives within

the city shall be taken monthly basis within

the project boundary for collecting such

waste. The collected waste shall be taken to

authorized recycling agencies for recycling.

Construction Waste:

Being area based Brownfield development;

Construction & Demolition waste shall be

generated. These Construction debris &

waste during construction will not have

potential to cause health hazard.

The demolition waste is proposed to be

recycled and reuse as filling material. The

scraps like Iron materials generated will be

sold out. Other materials like broken pieces

of stones, bricks and unused sand materials

etc. will be utilized within the project site as

filling material. Plastic buckets, cans and

cement sacks etc. will also be sold out. A

common C&D Waste recycling plant at city

level can be proposed to promote recycling

and reuse. The C&D waste generation within

project boundary is as follows, (BMC
