Rau’s General Studies Integrated (GSI) Foundation Course prepares aspirants holistically for both the Pre and Mains stages of the Civil services Exam. As a student of GSI Foundation Course, you will get subscription to the following:

This is how it’ll work

GSI Foundation Course – will start from basics and cover the entire length, breadth and depth of the UPSC Prelims and Mains syllabus in an integrated manner.

PEDAGOGY CLASSES/VIDEOS (≈ 800 HRS)

• Monthly Schedule - Classes will be conducted according to schedule – dependant on batch option (regular or weekend) selected. Each class will be of 2 hours’ duration

• Extra classes may be required in case course is progressing slowly.

• Videos will be available in the LMS for 3 days after the class.

APPROACH a. Module based teaching: All the themes of the

Prelims and Mains syllabus have been organized in an integrated manner under different modules.

b. In general, 2 modules will be taught daily. c. A new module will be started only after the

completion of the ongoing module.

STUDY MATERIAL Rau’s IAS will provide 2 sets of study material at the time of admission and teachers guide students as what to read and how much to read from them. a. Basic Reading material – Relevant NCERTs

and standard reference books. b. UPSC Exam centric Rau’s IAS notes –

Prelims Compass and Mains Compass c. Besides the above, Rau’s will also provide

Monthly Current Affairs Magazine – Focus.

CLASS ASSIGNMENT & TESTS

• Home Assignments: You will be given frequent assignments – both MCQs and Descriptive - by your teachers during the modules to help you revise the classes periodically.

• Saturday Class Tests: You will be given class tests - both Prelims and Mains – by your teachers after they complete their modules. These tests will be released on Saturdays and can be attempted according to timelines set by your teachers.

DOUBTS SOLVING & COLLABORATIVE LEARNING

• Doubts can be asked within the class, and even afterwards using the batch discussion forum on LMS.

• You can leave your doubts or questions on your batch’s discussion forum and your teacher will find a way to reach out to you and solve your doubt.

• Doubt sessions are also organized frequently to enable students to connect with their teachers to solve queries.

• You are encouraged to participate in group discussions which are held regularly on the Discussion Forum on elearn.rauias.com. Utilize those to express your ideas and learn from your peer group.

GSI QIP is knowledge and skills enhancement program. Its focus is on improving the quality of your content and its application in Prelims and Mains. It’ll cover current affairs, give you lots of test taking practice through Prelims and Mains Test Series (and their discussion) and a final Revision for the Prelims & Mains right before the respective exams.

CLASSES/ VIDEOS (≈ 250 HRS)

a. Current Affairs Classes: • These classes will act as one stop solution for the

students for everything related to current affairs. • Monthly Schedule: Between one and two

classes will be conducted on Saturdays as per monthly schedule. Each class will be of 2 hours’ duration

b. Revision and (MCQ) Practice Classes for Prelims

• Classes will be conducted after completing all foundation classes, two months before Prelims according to weekly schedule.

• They will cover all major themes – static and current - important for upcoming Prelims and include practice MCQs after every theme.

c. Revision & Answer Writing Classes for Mains (GS & Essay)

• Classes will start immediately after Prelims according to a weekly schedule.

• Focus of the classes will be update and revision of key topics expected in the upcoming mains and related answer writing practice.

Videos and Validity: All the above classes will be available as videos in the LMS which can be watched multiple times till:

• Current Affairs classes till Mains; • Prelims Revision for classes till Prelims; • Mains Revision classes till Mains. 1. From our website www.rauias.com, click on ‘Apply/Enrol Now’ button from the Upcoming Batches

Section or relevant course page. 2. You’ll be redirected to Rau’s IAS Student portal at https://elearn.rauias.com 3. If you are a first-time user of Rau’s Student portal, you’ll have to sign-up for a free student account on

our student portal via the OTP verification process. • You can sign-up simply by verifying your email id first and then mobile number with the OTP

verification codes received by you. (Use the email id which will be primarily used by the student as email id cannot be updated later).

• If you have already signed up before, you can quickly sign-in using either your email id or mobile number and the OTP you receive.

4. After signing-in, go to ‘Admissions (Batches)’ page and select the batch to which you want to subscribe. 5. Press the ‘Subscribe Now’ button placed along with the selected batch. 6. You’ll be directed to a Payment Gateway (PayU Money) from where you can pay the fee using any

debit/credit card or Netbanking. 7. Upon successful payment of fee, you’ll be directed to ‘Detailed Admission Form (DAF)’ on Rau’s

student portal. 8. Fill all the mandatory fields in DAF, upload your recent passport sized photograph. 9. Immediately upon submitting the DAF, you’ll get access to your batch and all the related course work

(Classes/videos/tests/study material) on student portal. 10. You can see/download your fee receipt from your Profile (accessible from the top right-hand side of your

feedwall). If you want to update your postal address or mobile number, you can do the same from the profile section.

B. AIDED/ASSISTED/OFFLINE ADMISSION

1. Deposit the fee in Rau’s IAS Bank Account (details below). 2. Sign-up for a free student account on Rau’s IAS student portal at https://elearn.rauias.com

• You can sign-up on our student portal via the OTP verification process. 3. 4. Upon successful verification of fee, Rau’s IAS will assign the batch to your student account (usually within 24 hours of receiving your email).

5. Try signing in to your student account after 24 hours. 6. If the batch has been successfully assigned to you, you’ll be directed to ‘Detailed Admission Form (DAF)’

on Rau’s student portal. 7. Fill all the mandatory fields in DAF, upload your recent passport sized photograph.
