Readers need to be part of a community of readers (or more than one)

Communities can be permanent or temporary

Community members TALK to one another

#5 DIVERSITY

No such thing as ONE SIZE FITS ALL

Race and ethnicity are not the only factors

Consider SES, gender, family structure, etc.

Genres vs. Forms and formats

Using PB with older readers

Considering GNs as complex text, too
