– Daughter 19, Freshman in college Major Athletic Training at ASU– Daughter 16, Volleyball for her school– Daughter 15, Competitive Gymnasts (6 ankle injuries in 3 years)– Son 14, Basketball for his school

• Two Children with EDS which has lead to over 175 stitches.

I have some first hand experience with youth sports and injuries.

Dreaming Big in Mooresville

• In 2010 a plan was proposed to build a Baseball field in Mooresville, NC

• The cost to build the park was projected at $20 Million

• The money just was not there to build the park

• So far $1,426,000 is invested in the land• The land will be sold at $35,000 per acre

• IT’s called Youth Sports for a reason.• There is a time and place for

communication with the coach.• Leave the referees alone.• DO NOT be a sideline coach.• Chances are you are not raising a

professional athlete.
