昆虫 Insects様々な昆虫が生息していますが、水辺で繁殖するト

ンボは特に種類が多く、清住緑地と丸池では 26 種

のトンボが確認されています。この中には準絶滅危

惧種に指定されている貴重なトンボもいます。Various insects inhabit. In particular, there are many types of dragonflies breeding on the waterside, and around here, 26 species of dragonflies have been identified. Among them, there is rare dragonfly that are designated as semi-endangered species.

野鳥 Wild Birds狭く浅いせせらぎから広く深い丸池まで、さまざま

な水環境のあるこの場所にはカモ類やサギ類、カワ

セミなどさまざまな水鳥が集まります。また、水辺

を囲む木々にも多くの野鳥が見られます。There are various water environments, such as narrow and shallow brooks and wide and deep ponds, and various water birds such as Ducks, Egrets, and River Kingfisher gather here. There are also many birds on the trees surrounding the water.

Spring water湧水

　約10万年前に誕生した富士山は、約1万年前を境に新富士火山と古富士火山に分けられています。　地下水は、亀裂やすき間の多い新富士火山の溶岩などの中にしみ込み、水を通しにくい古富士火山などの地層の上を流れてきます。Mt. Fuji was born about 100,000 years ago, but the volcano is usually seen as composed of Shin-Fuji (New Fuji) that erupted about 10000 years ago and Ko-Fuji (Old Fuji) that was active in earlier times. The groundwater passes through the porous lava of Shin-Fuji but cannot go beyond the relatively non-porous deposits of Ko-Fuji that lies beneath. This is the mechanism of spring water around here.

富士山がもたらす湧水 Water spring system formed by Fuji Volcano

　この周辺に見られる多くの湧き水は、水辺を好む生き物を育んだり、農業用水とし

て使われたりしています。現在地の地下には約１万年前に富士山から流れてきた溶岩

が埋もれています。富士山の雪解け水や雨が、亀裂やすき間の多いこの溶岩の中を通り、

溶岩の末端に近いこの地域に豊富な湧水をもたらしているのです。

Abundant spring water around here grows creatures that prefer the waterside and are used as agricultural water. In the basement of here, there is the lava that flowed from Mt.Fuji about 10,000 years ago. The melting snow water or rain water on Mt.Fuji passes through the porous lava and gushes out at the end part of the lava flow.

ここ「境川・清住緑地」は市街地の中にある湧水地です。境川が刻んだ谷の中に、富

士山の溶岩の中を通ってきた地下水が湧き出しています。

湧水の湧く水辺は、地域の人々や NPO、行政などが協力して環境を守り、ミシマバ

イカモをはじめとした水辺の生態系が維持されています。

緑地の中を流れる「境川」はかつて「駿河国」と「伊豆国」を分けた境界でもありました。

"Sakai River and Kiyozumi Green Area" is a spring area located in the city. In the valley

formed by the Sakai River, you can find Abundant spring water gushing out from the lavas

of Mt. Fuji. This green area is conserved by the local residents, NPOs, and the local

government, and the waterside ecosystem, such as Mishimabaikamo, is maintained.
