Anyone wishing to receive the Sacrament of the Sick will be anointed following weekend Masses this weekend. (If you would like to be anointed but can’t attend Mass, please call the office 570-553-2288 to arrange anointing.) Please pray for all the sick in our Parishes, Community and World.

PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING—RESCHEDULED AGAIN The Pastoral Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Wednesday, February 26th, (the regularly scheduled date), at 6:00PM in the Rectory. All members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Parish Lottery Calendars are available in the back of the Churches. Calendars are $ 20.00 each. They run from April 1st thru December 31st, 2014. Each family in our Parish is asked to take at least (5) calendars to sell. There are both packages of (5) calendars and loose (single) calendars available. (Please do not break up the packages.) You are asked to please sign the calendars out on the sign out sheet provided. Please help to make this very important fund raiser a success again this year!

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION His Excellency, the Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera, D.D., J.C.L., Bishop of Scranton, and the Office for Parish Life wish to invite couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2014 to a Diocesan Wedding Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 22nd. The event includes a 2:30PM Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral followed by a reception. Requests for an invitation, with a mailing address, should be made through St. Brigid Parish Office by THIS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH.

SPECIAL PROGRAM ON CTV: BISHOP-ELECT JOSEPH R. KOPACZ CTV: Catholic Television has produced a special program on Bishop Joseph R. Kopacz, who was ordained and installed as the 11th Bishop of Jackson, Mississippi on February 6th. The program can be viewed on the Diocesan website at http://www.dioceseofscranton.org/media/pope-francis-appoints-father-joseph-r-kopacz-ph-d-diocese-of-scranton-priest-as-bishop-of-jackson-mississippi/

DIOCESAN ANNUAL APPEAL UPDATE St. Brigid Parish Appeal goal is $ 23,750.00, the same as last year. Currently we have (138) pledges for a total of $ 20,235.00. We are ONLY under our goal by $ 3,515.00. Thank you to everyone for your generosity. If you did not already make a pledge, envelopes are available in the back of the Churches for your pledge. Completed pledges may be placed in the collection basket or mailed to the Rectory.

MOM’S HOUSE NEWS MOM’S HOUSE ROCKERTHON: The Rockerthon will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, from 11:00AM to 3:00PM, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 731 Hooper Road, Endwell, next to Highland Park. You can register as a group or as an individual. Registration forms are available in the back of Church today or you can get one on line at www.momshouseny.org . Emcee will be Steve Willett, “That DJ Guy”. It will be a fun-filled day with free food and drinks all day. There will be prizes and other exciting entertainment, as well as trivia contests. CAPUCHIN SISTERS OF NAZARETH ~ COME AND SEE IF GOD MAY BE CALLING YOU The Capuchin Sisters of Nazareth will host a Religious Life Discernment Retreat for young women ages 16 to 30. The Retreat will be held Friday, March 28th beginning at 4:00PM and continuing thru Sunday, March 30th at 11:30AM. Reservations are required. FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION VIA THE WEINBERG FOOD BANK

Free food distribution for those in need—RESIDENTS OF SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY ONLY. Distribution date is Tuesday, February 18th, from 11AM to 1PM and 5PM to 7PM, at the Little Meadows United Methodist Church, Penn. Ave., Little Meadows. SHEETS & BLANKETS NEEDED

Old/used sheets and blankets are needed to make sleeping bags for the homeless. If you are cleaning out your closet, please consider donating them for this worthy cause. Donations can be left in the back of the Churches or dropped off at the Rectory, (if no one is there, please leave donations on the porch by the driveway). All donations are most welcome. Also needed are old, used neckties (not clip-on).

NEUMANN CENTER BOTTLE & CAN DRIVE

The CYO basketball teams are sponsoring a bottle & can drive to replace the scoreboard control box. You can drop donations at Neumann Hall Tuesday nights between 6 & 9PM or anytime at the Vestal Center Redemption Center, Route 26 next to the Car Wash and VanDervort’s Mini Mart. (Just mention your donations are to benefit St. Brigid Parish/CYO.) Thank you for your support.

CYO VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL SENIOR NIGHT All Parishioners and friends are invited to attend St. Brigid’s team’s final home game of the season. The game will be held THIS Sunday, February 9th, at 6:00PM at Neumann Hall. Please come out to support our team and say good bye to seniors.
