The children in Atrium One are working with Matthew’s gospel 13:4-46. As they study the parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price, we ask the question, “What could be so precious that someone would sell everything they had to have

just that one thing?”I find myself asking the same question. Is there something in my life worth selling everything, giving up everything? We also read in those short passages that the finder is full of joy. This isn’t a great sacrifice; it is the fulfillment of a lifetime. It is what this person has been looking for and wanting for years. The apostles walked away from everything and gave their whole lives to spreading the faith.They gave their lives to service. I find my greatest joy in serving others. If you are looking for a Hidden Treasure you might want to try serving others. Los niños del Atrio uno están trabajando con el evangelio de Mateo 13: 4-46. Mientras estudian las parábolas del Tesoro Oculto y la Perla del Gran Precio, nos hacemos la pregunta: "¿Qué podría ser tan valioso para que alguien venda todo lo que tiene para tener esa única cosa?". Y ahora me pregunto a mi misma. ¿Hay algo en mi vida por la cual yo vendería todo, o renunciarí҉a a todo? También en estos pasajes del Evangelio, podemos observar que el que busca está lleno de alegría que no es un gran sacrificio. Para el que busca este es el cumplimiento de toda una vida, es lo que esta persona ha estado buscando y deseando durante años. Los apóstoles se alejaron de todo, dieron toda su vida para difundir la fe y estar al servicio de los démas. Asi es como yo encuentro mi mayor alegría en servir a los demás. Lo invito a servir a otros para encontrar ese tesoro escondido, que puede estar buscando.
