Baptism

The sacrament of Baptism is 'an outward and visible sign of an inward

and spiritual grace.' We become mem-bers of the body of Christ. God uses

physical objects that we can easily com-prehend (water in the case of Baptism and bread and wine in the case of the

Eucharist) along with the spoken word to convey redemptive

grace on the recipient of the sacrament. All of God’s children, regardless of age,

are welcomed into Baptism at St. David’s.

Confirmation Confirmation is the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a Bishop. It is a mature affirmation of our baptismal vows. Confirmation classes are held for 7th graders and older and conclude with a worship service with the Bishop.

Membership at St. David’s If you have been baptized into any

Christian denomination, we welcome you as a member of St. David’s. Contact Suzan Reagor with the date and place of

your baptism so that we can request a transfer of membership. If you are not

baptized, baptisms are conducted regu-larly at St. David’s. Contact any member of our church staff for more information.
