Ministry

An effective Women’s Ministry offers a safe

have a close and personal relationship with

Jesus, and we want to live in community with

Titus 2:3-8

Older women likewise are to be reverent in

their behavior, not malicious gossips nor en-

slaved to much wine, teaching what is good,

so that they may encourage the young wom-

en to love their husbands, to love their chil-

dren, to be sensible, pure, workers at home,

kind, being subject to their own husbands, so

that the word of God will not be dishonored.

There are plenty of opportunities for women of

all ages and stages of life here at First Baptist

Church. We hope that you’ll find a place to

grow in your faith, share

your heart and serve

others as God guides

you. We have small

groups, Sunday School

classes, mid-week stud-

ies, mission trips and

local mission work

projects, fellowships,

hospitality committees,

Circle groups, a wom-

en’s ministry team,

praise band, vacation

bible school, Kid’s Club,

and many other pro-

grams for you to engage

in worship and service.

New to the faith? We

can help you locate a Christian mentor who will

help you as you seek to learn what God’s word

says. Mentors are also great for answering ques-

tions, navigating life

situations, offering

support and encourage-

ment, and helping to

connect you with

Discipleship Classes We encourage every FBC member to join at least one

small group, whether that is a Sunday School class (9am

Sunday mornings), a mid–week study group like Circle of

Friends (for ladies only—Weds. at 6:30pm), or a women’s

circle, like Joy Circle, that meets on a monthly basis. All

FBC groups are open to new attendees at any time.

Areas of Service We also believe that serving others is a necessary part of

growing in Christ and in community. There are many

areas of ministry at FBC for you to try, and we are always

open to new ideas of how we can better serve, not only

our congregation, but also the Mercer County residents.

Help out with Kid’s Club or Vacation Bible School, join in

the Praise Band, or help with the sound booth and com-

puter projection system, make & take a meal with our

HOMe Team, attend the Women’s Ministry Think Tank

meetings and help plan one of our upcoming events, but

most of all we hope you are listening to God’s guidance in

your life—allowing Him to direct where and how you

serve others in His name for His glory.

Women’s Events Over the past few years we’ve sponsored Ladies Night

Out, Generation Celebration, Mother Daughter Banquet,

Ladies Meet & Mingles, Shopping Trips, Hearts at Home

National Conference, Prayer Group, Fellowship Teas,

Women’s Retreat,

Fundraisers, and Mis-

sion Trips just to name

a few! Please note that

childcare will not be

available for all events

and activities.

FBC: we will continue to be

Christ centered and Bible based.

We will be a church that wor-

ships in love, fellowship and sup-

port for everyone. Working to-

gether we seek to further the

cause of Christ through evange-

lism, discipleship, and prayer. –

Matthew 22:33-40, 28:18-20

Circle of Friends: changing the

hearts and lives of Christian

women to become fully devoted

followers of Jesus Christ, em-

powering them to change the

hearts and lives of others.
