Hello Elemukulek, My name is Cole Gabriel and I'll be your 2012-2013 chapter vice chief of program. I really plan to step it up and raise the bar with not only spirit, but games as well. One of my main goals is to increase attendance by the interesting (open to interpretation) games we'll play.

Be ready to get loud and spirited for the fellowships,

and let's plan on getting Sonic all four fellowships.

Ducks Everywhere,                It is a well-known fact that the more people there are at any given event, the more awesome it is!  As the Vice Chief of membership of our chapter, I worry about the induction of new members into our order, and the retention of those members.                To start off this rant, unit elections are vital to this organizations survival.  Frankly, we need more members in our chapter.  The more members we have, the more service is done to our camp, and the more fun everyone has.  I need your help.  The chapter needs your help.  The Order needs your help.  This is not a hard task that I’m asking from you all.  I need help running the troop elections throughout the year and I ask that everyone volunteer for one.  As you remember, when you were inducted in the OA, you were elected by your peers.  This is a process that has been happening for almost a hundred years, and you can be a part of that legacy.                Next, I move to another crucial aspect of our chapter, membership retention.  Getting people into the OA is the hard part, now we have to keep them here.  Obviously, keeping people in the OA relies heavily on the program, but there are other ways that you can help.  First off, there needs to be one OA Representative in every troop in our district.   The OA Rep speaks regularly at troop meetings about the Lodges upcoming events and, with the help of the PLC, he plans the troop election date and coordinates it with me.  If your troop does not currently have an OA Rep, ask your scoutmaster and SPL why not and consider volunteering as one.

  Next, if you see someone who is in OA but not coming to events, ask him why not and encourage him to come.  You may not realize it, but the little things like that matter.  If everyone brought back one “sash and dash” member, we could double our active membership amount.                This is my call to action! I need everyone’s help in order to make us the best chapter in Echockotee Lodge history! Please, help set up your troop’s election, help run an election for another troop, help us get people to come back to new events.  If we ban together as a district we can soar to new heights.
