Community Voices - Community EngagementPlanning for the future of Foley Public Schools includes planning for our future students- including the new born and the adult community member who will be using our Community Education programs in the future.

Our goal is to gather input from at least 300 peopleWe are seeking your help and input on identifying the key elements and priorities that will be used in developing our strategic plan for the future. Our process is seeking input through individual conversations with com-munity members, parents, business leaders, internal stakeholders, and community groups. We are planning a structured process of individual conversations to draw out the ideal future aims of our district- we need your involvement!

Core Planning Team of 30-40 peopleOur community engagement process is in the planning stage right now as we have a Steering Committee identified and involved in the design work. The Steering Committee will be creating a larger community based Core Planning Team. The Core Planning Team of 30-40 people will be representative of the community and team members will be charged with holding individual community conversations.

I have always been engaged in telling our story, great things happen every day in our schools. My commitment to our district and community is personal and I believe we benefit from the positive relationship between school and community. I hope you will accept my invitations to be a part of our community engagement process- help us form the future vision for our district!

During the Great Depression in New York City, a plucky red-haired scrapper named Annie is the voice of hope for her fellow orphans who live under the supervision of mean Miss Hannigan. Annie’s spirit is fueled by the belief that her real parents dropped her off at the orphanage with a half of a locket, promising to return for her with the other half. One day, the dingy orphanage is visited by the sophisticated Grace Farrell, personal secretary to conservative politician Oliver Warbucks. In order to improve his image, Grace brings Annie to the Warbucks estate for a weeklong visit. Annie quickly wins the hearts of everyone she meets.
