She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy, and has been involved in surveying since 1974 in projects ranging from construction to boundary to environmental land use disputes. Ms. Lathrop is also a certified floodplain manager through the Association of State Flood Plain Managers (ASFPM). A former adjunct instructor at Mercer County College in New Jersey, Ms. Lathrop has also taught as part of the team for the licensing exam review course at Drexel University in Pennsylvania. She has been teaching seminars for surveyors since 1986 and has been writing articles for surveyors since 1983. She is a contributing editor for The American Surveyor magazine, and has four articles included in the American Bar Association’s text, Land Surveys: A Guide for Lawyers and Other Professionals. She and Stephen V. Estopinal, PLS, PE, recently completed co–authoring a book entitled Professional Surveyors and Real Property Descriptions: Composition, Construction, and Comprehension, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Ms. Lathrop is a past president of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors and of the National Society of Professional Surveyors, and she has served on the Board of Directors for the American Association for Geodetic Surveying. HEC-RAS Webinar Series Gregory H. Nail, PhD, PE, Associate Professor, University of Tennessee at Martin Dr. Nail is an associate professor in the Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he teaches a variety of courses including fluid mechanics, hydraulics and hydrology, and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. He holds a professional engineer’s license based on having passed both the Civil and Mechanical discipline-specific exams. Prior to coming to UT-Martin in 2002, he worked as a research hydraulic engineer for the United States Army Corp of Engineers for 11 years. He is a former member of the Executive Commiee of the Tennessee American Water Resources Association, and he has lectured on various HEC-RAS modeling topics at the Annual Tennessee Water Resources Symposium, and at other venues. Dr. Nail earned his B.M.E. degree from Auburn University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Texas A&M University. Handling Ethical Issues in Professional Engineering Practice Brent A. Meyer, Senior Counsel, Husch Blackwell LLP Mr. Meyer is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction team. He has extensive experience in construction litigation with an emphasis in defending design professionals against malpractice and breach of contract claims. He has represented entities, business owners, general contractors and subcontractors in civil disputes. He also advises clients in contract negotiations and risk management practices. Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Mr. Meyer practiced in Atlanta, Georgia, for eight years. He represented various entities and individuals in pre-litigation negotiations, mediation, litigation, and arbitration. In addition, he assisted with multiple cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and Supreme Court of Georgia that have resulted in the enforcement of certain limitation of liability clauses for design professionals performing services in the State of Georgia. Mr. Meyer was named a Georgia Rising Star from 2014 to 2016 by Super Lawyers. He earned his J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Solar Photovoltaic Webinars John-Ross Cromer has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and he is a master electrician, NABCEP-certified PV installer, and author of Solar Power Design and Devel- opment: An Introduction to Rooſtop Solar.
