PRE-SEASON CHECKS Clean the Hay Pick-up Attachment, removing trash and dirt accumulation

Clean and inspect chains for excessive stiffness or wear Lubricate the machine according to the LUBRICATION chart. Make sure grease fittings are in place and taking grease properly

Check to make sure the Pick-up Attachment is attached properly to the Forage Harvester. See that the Pick-up Attachment drive chain is installed and correctly aligned and tensioned

Run the Pick-up Attachment at half-speed for about 10 minutes. Listen for abnormal noises. Shut off the tractor engine, and inspect all bearings for over-heating or excessive wear. Also check roller chains and sprockets for over-heating

DAILY CHECKS Lubricate the machine following instructions in the LUBRICATION section

With tractor shut off, check chains for tension and alignment

Check tractor hook-up for safety and proper connection

Make sure all bolts and nuts are in place and tighten. Make sure all parts are well secured to the machine

Check for missing pick-up teeth on the attachment

Make sure all guards and shields are properly in place and in good condition

TO OUR CUSTOMER

The following pages and illustrations are printed to help supply you with the knowledge to better oper-ate and service your Hay Pick-up Attachment.

Any piece of equipment needs, and must have a certain amount of service and maintenance to keep it in top running condition. We have attempted to cover all the adjustments required to fit most con-ditions; however, there may be times when special care must be taken to fit a condition.

Study this operator’s manual carefully and become acquainted with all the adjustments and operating procedures before attempting to operate your new equipment. Remember, it is a machine and it has been designed and tested to do an efficient job in most operating conditions and will perform in rela-tion to the service it receives.

If special attention is required for some conditions, ask your Dion Dealer; his parts and Service Organi-zation will be glad to help and answer any questions on operation and service of your new machine.

This manual was prepared from the latest product information available at publication time. The Com-pany reserves the right to make changes at any time without notice.

The safety section of your Operator’s manual is in-tended to point out some of the basic safety situa-tions which may be encountered during the normal operation and maintenance of your Hay Pick-up At-tachment, and to suggest possible ways of dealing with these situations. This section is NOT a replace-ment for other safety practices featured in other sec-tions of this book.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Your Dion Warranty for this machine appears on your copy of the Retail Purchase Order and War-ranty Terms and Conditions Statement which you received from your dealer when you purchased the Hay Pick-up Attachment.

If the Hay Pick-up is used with a Forage Harvester from another manufacturer, the warranty is limited to the Hay Pick-up.

As indicated on the Retail Purchase Order signed by you and your dealer, you, the equipment purchaser, shall assume charges for service calls or transporta-tion of equipment to and from the location of servic-ing Dion dealer.

SAFETY

The safety of the operator is one of the main con-cerns in designing and developing a new Hay Pick-up Attachment. Designers built in as many safety features as possible. However, every year accidents occur which could have been avoided by taking a more careful approach to handling farm machinery and implements.

Read and implement the safety instructions detailed in the safety section of this manual.

DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will result in DEATH OR VERY SERIOUS INJURY.

FOLLOW A SAFETY PROGRAMFor proper operation of a Hay Pick-up Attachment, you must be a qualified and authorized operator. To be qualified, you must read and understand the written instructions supplied in this Operator’s Manual, have training, and know the safety rules and regulations for the job.

Some local regulations specify that no one under the age of 16 years, for example, may operate power ma-chinery. This includes tractors. It is your responsibility to know what these regulations are, and obey them, in the operating area or situation. These will include, but are not limited to, the following instructions for proper operation.

WARNING: An operator should not use alcohol or drugs which can change their alertness or coordination. An operator on prescription or “over the counter” drugs needs medical advice on whether or not he or she can properly operate machines.

A WORD TO THE OPERATORIt is YOUR responsibility to read and understand the safety section in this manual before operating your tractor. You must follow these safety instructions that take you step by step through your working day.

In reading this section, you will note that illustrations have been used to highlight certain situations. Each illustration is numbered and the same number appears in the text in parenthesis. This number is placed at the end of the written text that refers to the illustration.

Remember that YOU are the key to safety. Good safe-ty practices not only protect you, but also the people around you. Study the features in this manual and make them a working part of your safety program. Keep in mind that this safety section is written only for this type of machine. Practice all other usual and cus-tomary safe working precautions, and above all.

REMEMBER - SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. YOU CAN PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

WARNING: In some of the illustrations used in this Operator Instruction Book, panels or guards may have been removed for clarity. Never operate the machine without these components in position. If the removal of panels or guards is necessary to make a repair, they MUST be replaced before opera-tion.

• Disengage the PTO and shut off engine before leav-ing the operator’s seat for refueling, lubricating or adjusting the machine.

• The tractor engine ignition key must be removed each time the operator leaves the tractor.

• Wear appropriate clothing, safety boots or shoes. Do not operate the machine when visibility is bad, or during night, in poor lighting.

• When driving on a public road, or on hilly land you must remove the electrical box ignition key and put the locking pin in the stop pawl of the quick-discon-nect hitch to prevent unlocking. This locking pin should also be used for the manual quick-disconnect hitch.

• Attach a safety chain of at least 20,000 lbs (9071 Kg) capacity for transportation.

• Keep children away from the machine at all times. Maximum traveling speed of a forage harvester should not exceed 20 mph (34 km/h).

• Carefully read all safety signs applied on the ma-chine. If they are damaged, replace them immedi-ately.

• If a feeding mechanism should become jammed, never attempt to unblock it or remove any material when the machine is in motion or the tractor engine running.

• Never feed the Hay Pick-up Attachment manually.

• Never remove guards or make adjustments while the machine or tractor engine is running.

• Never attempt to check or adjust chains while the machine is running.

• Make sure all rotating parts are stopped and the tractor engine is turned off before cleaning the ma-chine throat.

• Before starting the tractor engine, make sure all guards, shields, and doors are in place and properly secured and check the machine thoroughly for pos-sible loose parts or bolts and tighten them.

• Always pick-up tools after performing any adjust-ment.

• Never allow riders on any part of a machine.

• Block elevated components before servicing equip-ment.

• Never lubricate or clean any part while the machine or tractor engine is running.

• Keep hands and body out of hitch area when attach-ing towing vehicle.

• Securely block the wheels from moving before work-ing on or under the machine.

• Use a lift system with a minimum capacity of 2,000 lbs (900 kg) to install the attachment on a forage har-vester.

• Make sure to meet local regulations regarding wide loads on public roads.

STOPPING PROCEDURES

No matter what type of machine is being used, it is extremely hazardous to perform any kind of main-tenance work while the machine is running. Before cleaning, adjusting, or greasing, the following pro-cedures should be followed to stop the attachment:

1. Lower the attachment to the ground.2. Disengage the tractor power-take-off (P.T.O.).3. Stop the tractor engine.4. Engage the tractor parking brake.5. Wait until all rotating parts are totally stopped.6. Remove the P.T.O. from tractor output shaft.7. Block all equipment wheels.

DANGER: Rotating driveline contact may cause serious injury or death.

GUARDS AND SHIELDS - FIGURE 1

The Hay Pick-up Attachment is equipped with guards and shields wherever an accident is likely to take place. These guards and shields do not af-fect the machine performance. Several safety dec-als are affixed on the machine to remind of potential dangers. , A bolted guard (item 1) covers the eccentric mechanism.

, A removable guard (item 2) covers the driving mechanism.

CAUTION: All guards and shields factory installed should be in place and maintained in good condition.

OPERATIONOPERATION TIPS

WARNING: Before operating the Hay Pick-up Attachment, make sure that all safety rules are observed by people working with or near this machine.

WARNING: Make sure that all guards or shields are in place and properly secured before starting the tractor engine.

Generally, it is recommended to be careful and to proceed to all necessary adjustments before operat-ing the Hay Pick-up Attachment.

If your Forage Harvester is equipped with a Liquid Incorporation System, refer to the Harvester Oper-ator’s Manual for instructions.

Shoes (see page 18) must be adjusted according to the height of your Forage Harvester.

Your Hay Pick Up Attachment is equipped with lift eyelet (see page 18) for transport and to assist in maintenance.

AUGER SCREW DRIVING CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMENT - FIGURES 4 AND 5To tighten the auger screw driving chain (item 1), the tightener should be adjusted so that the chain is straight on top while following the polyethylene tight-ener (item 2) at the bottom. Use the bolts (item 3 and the holes (item 4) provided for this adjustment.

INTERMEDIATE DRIVING CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMENT - FIGURE 7To tighten this chain (item 1) loosen the nuts (item 2) of the tightener (item 3) then make adjustments to obtain a tension equal to a deflection of 1/4” (6 mm). Retighten well nuts (item 2).

ATTACHMENT DRIVING CHAIN - FIGURE 8This chain (item 1) is coupled to the Forage Har-vester. The adjustment must be done with the At-tachment at operating height. To obtain a normal tension, loosen the nut (item 2) then adjust with the nuts (item 3). Retighten the nut (item 2) of the tightening wheel.

TIRE WHEELS - FIGURE 9Adjust the wheel height according to the terrain condition. Holed supports (item 1) are provided to this effect. Retighten all nuts once this adjustment is completed. It is recommended to adjust the spring teeth (item 2) at 2 to 4” (5 to 10 cm), according to operating conditions.

NOTE: The closer the spring teeth are from the ground, the more risks there are to pick up debris (metal pieces and rocks).

ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCESHOES - FIGURE 10Adjust both shoes (Item 1) according to the Forage Harvester height by using the bolts (item 2) and the adjustment holes (item 3). Retighten well all bolts.

NOTE: Shoes should be adjusted 1 to 2“ higher the wheels.

The shoes protect the Hay Pick-up against the dif-ferences in level of the terrain. Wheels are used for adjusting the height of the Attachment.

WINDGUARD - FIGURE 11The windguard (item 1) adjustment is done accord-ing to the volume and size of the hay. The windguard is adjusted at the factory for the average hay. It is possible to modify the position of the windguard so it adapts to the hay volume and size. For vertical adjustments, remove the pin (item 2) and insert the windguard assembly into the 2nd hole provided for this purpose.

It is also possible to change the travelling of the windguard by loosening the nut (item 3). Adjust to the desired position then tighten back the nut (item 3).

Finally, to change the forward/backward position, loosen the nuts (item 4). Next, adjust to the desired position of the windguard then tighten back the nuts (item 4).

LIFT EYELET - FIGURE 12The Hay Pick-up Attachment is equipped with a eye-let (figure 12) to lift attachment up for proper trans-portation and maintenance. The minimum lifting load must be 2000 lbs (900 Kg).

Use carriage bolts to not interfere with the Forage Harvester’s lifting mecha-nism.

ADJUSTMENTS - MAINTENANCESTAR RATCHET CLUTCH - FIGURE 13This clutch (item 1) protects the auger drive mech-anism in case of overload, clogging, or break. Do not over grease it.

WEAR PLATES - FIGURE 14Check wear plate (item 1), on both sides of the feed-ing throat, once a year or after every 100 hours of operation. Check for excessive wear. Replace if ne-cessary.

STORAGE

IMPORTANT: An adequate maintenance and stor-age is essential to ensure the ma-chine durability. They should never be neglected.

At the end of the season, we would suggest the fol-lowing procedures:

1. Clean out the Hay Pick-up Attachment of all dirt, earth, material, excess of grease, or any other foreign substance which may absorb water thus causing rust.

NOTE: Never use a power washer to clean convey-or chains, bearings and gears.

2. Completely lubricate the attachment.

3. Run the machine a few minutes then check com-ponents. Make sure no bolts are loose or missing, particularly under the disks.

4. Clean and oil all components which have been exposed to wear.

5. Paint damaged parts.

6. Order parts that need to be replaced, and repair your attachment before starting a new season.

7. For your own safety, replace all damaged guards and not easily readable decals.

8. Store the attachment in a clean and dry location.

VÉRIFICATIONS D’AVANT SAISON Nettoyez l’Attachement Ramasseur afin d’enlever les déchets et la saleté qui pourraient s’y être accumulé

Nettoyez les chaînes et inspectez-les afin de vérifier si elles sont trop tendues ou si elles ont des signes d’usure excessive

Lubrifiez la machine selon les instructions données à la section LUBRIFICATION. Assurez-vous que les graisseurs sont en place et qu’ils acceptent facilement la graisse

Assurez-vous que l’Attachement soit bien accroché à la Fourragère. Assurez-vous également que la chaîne d’entraînement de l’attachement Ramasseur soit installée, bien alignée et bien tendue en position de travail

Faites fonctionner l’Attachement à mi-vitesse pour environ 10 minutes. Assurez-vous qu’aucun bruit anormal ne soit émit par l’Attachement. Éteignez le moteur du tracteur et vérifiez tous les roulements afin de détecter une possible surchauffe ou une usure excessive

Les pages suivantes ont été rédigées afin de vous aider à mieux opérer et faire un meilleur entretien de votre Ramasseur d’andains.

Toute pièce d’équipement a besoin et exige un mini-mum d’entretien afin de demeurer en bonne condi-tion de marche. Nous avons tenté de couvrir tous les ajustements requis dans chacune des conditions possibles. Toutefois, il peut y avoir des occasions ou vous devrez vous ajustez à la situation.

Étudiez attentivement ce manuel d’opération afin de vous familiariser avec les procédures d’ajustement et d’opération et ce, avant même de tenter d’opérer la machine. Rappelez-vous, il s’agit d’une machine et elle a été conçue et testée afin de performer dans la plupart des situation de travail. Sa performance est cependant étroitement liée à l’entretien qu’elle reçoit.

Si une attention particulière est nécessaire dans des conditions spéciales, consultez votre représentant Dion. Son département de pièces et service se fera un plaisir de répondre à vos questions relatives à l’opération et à l’entretien de votre machine.

CE MANUEL DEVRAIT RESTER AVEC LA MACHINE LORSQUE CELLE-CI EST VENDUE

Ce manuel à été préparé à partir de l’information disponible au moment de mettre sur presse. La compagnie se réserve donc le droit de faire des changements sans préavis.

La section de Sécurité de votre manuel d’opération a été créée afin de d’identifier certaines mesures de sécurité de base qu’un opérateur doit suivre lorsqu’il rencontre des situations particulières ou la sécurité est de mise, et ce lors de l’opération et l’entretien normal de la machine. La section sécurité propose des façons sécuritaires de réagir dans de telles si-tuations. Cette section n’est PAS un remplacement à des habitudes de travail sécuritaire identifiés dans les autres sections de ce manuel.

INFORMATION SUR LA GARANTIE

Votre garantie Dion pour cette machine apparaît sur votre copie de la Déclaration de la Condition de la Garantie et du Bon de commande, laquelle vous avez reçu lorsque vous avez acheté votre Ramas-seur d’andains.

Lorsque le Ramasseur est utilisé avec une fourra-gère d’un autre manufacturier, la garantie se limite au Ramasseur.

Tel qu’indiqué sur le bon de Commande que vous et votre représentant avez signé, l’acheteur doit assu-mer les frais pour les appels de service ou le trans-port de l’équipement à partir de ou en direction de votre représentant Dion.

SÉCURITÉ

La sécurité de l’opérateur s’avère être l’une des prio-rités lorsqu’un nouveau Ramasseur d’andains est conçu et mise en marché. Les concepteurs tentent d’incorporer dans l’appareil le maximum de carac-téristiques de sécurité. Par contre, chaque année, plusieurs accidents se produisent qui auraient pu être facilement évités en ayant une approche plus sécuritaire.

Lisez les instructions qui se rapportent à la sécurité et faites les connaître aux autres opérateurs.

SUIVEZ UN PROGRAMME DE SÉCURITÉ

Afin d’opérer de façon sécuritaire l’attachement Ramasseur d’andains, vous devez être un opérateur qualifié et autorisé. Pour être qualifié, vous devez avoir lu et compris les instruc-tions écrites présentes dans ce manuel d’opération. Vous devez également avoir été formé en plus de bien connaître les règles de sécurité relatives au travail.

Certaines règles stipulent qu’une personne n’ayant pas l’âge minimum de 16 ans ne peut opérer de la machinerie. Ceci in-clue les tracteurs. Il est de votre responsabilité de connaître ces règles et de les appliquer.

Vous trouverez ci-dessous quelques règles de sécurité. Notez que cette liste ne comprend pas toutes les règles de sécurité.

AVERTISSEMENT : Un opérateur ne devrait jamais consommer de l’alcool et/ou de la drogue car cela pourrait affecter sa vigilance et sa coordination. Un opérateur qui serait sous l’influence de médicament devrait obtenir l’avis d’une personne qualifiée avant d’opérer une machine.

UN MOT À L’OPÉRATEURIl est de votre responsabilité de lire et comprendre les ins-tructions reliées à la sécurité qui se trouvent dans la section des Règles de sécurité. Vous devez suivre ces instructions qui vous guideront à travers une journée de travail.

En lisant cette section, vous remarquerez que des illus-trations sont utilisées afin de mieux faire comprendre certaines situations. Chaque illustration est numéro-tée et le même numéro apparaît dans le texte, entre parenthèses.

N’oubliez-pas que VOUS êtes l’élément clé de la sécurité. De bonnes habitudes sécuritaires protègent les utilisateurs. C’est pourquoi elles doivent faire partie de votre programme de prévention.

AVERTISSEMENT : Pour des raisons de compréhension, certains gardes ne sont pas présents sur certaines illustrations. N’opérez jamais la machine sans les gardes des sécurité.

RÈGLES DE SÉCURITÉ

• Désengagez la PDF et éteignez le moteur avant de quitter le siège de l’opérateur afin de refaire le plein, faire la lubrification et l’ajustement de la machine.

• La clé de contact du tracteur doit être enlevée à chaque fois que l’opérateur quitte le tracteur.

• Portez des vêtements de travail appropriés, des bottes ou des chaussures de sécurité. N’utilisez pas la machine lorsque la visibilité est mauvaise, ou la nuit, si l’éclairage est insuffisant.

• Lorsque vous circulez sur un chemin public ou en terrain vallonné, enlevez la clé de contact contrô-lant l’attelage électrique de la fourragère et placez la goupille de sécurité sur le cliquet d’arrêt pour éviter tout décrochage. Cette goupille de sécu-rité doit également être utilisée pour l’attelage manuel.

• Lorsque vous voyagez, attachez une chaîne de sécurité dont la capacité est d’au moins 9071 Kg (20,000 lbs).

• Gardez les enfants à distance en tout temps. La vitesse maximale de déplacement d’une fourra-gère ne doit pas dépasser 34 km/h (20 m/h).

• Lisez toujours attentivement les décalques appo-sés sur la machine; s’ils sont endommagés, rem-placez les immédiatement.

• Si le mécanisme d’alimentation se bloque, n’es-sayez jamais de le débloquer ou d’enlever le four-rage lorsque la machine est en opération ou que le moteur du tracteur est en marche.

• N’alimentez jamais l’attachement Ramasseur d’andains manuellement.

• N’enlever jamais les gardes ou effectuer quelqu’ajustement que ce soit lorsque la machine et/ou le moteur du tracteur est en marche.

• Ne vérifiez ou n’ajustez jamais les chaînes lorsque la machine et/ou le moteur du tracteur est en marche.

• Assurez-vous que tout mouvement rotatif ainsi que le moteur du tracteur soient complètement arrêtés avant de nettoyer la machine.

• Assurez-vous que tous les gardes, les protecteurs et les portes soient bien en place, de façon sécu-ritaire, avant de démarrer le moteur du tracteur. Vérifiez la machine et assurez vous qu’il n’y a pas de boulons et/ou de pièces desserrés.

• Après avoir fait des ajustements, assurez vous qu’aucun outil n’ait été oublié sur la machine.

• Ne permettez jamais à quiconque de monter sur une machine en marche.

• Ne lubrifiez ou ne nettoyer jamais une pièce d’équipement lorsque la machine et/ou le moteur du tracteur est en marche.

• Gardez les mains et le corps loin de l’attelage du véhicule remorqueur.

• Bloquez les roues de façon sécuritaire avant de travailler sur ou sous la machine.

• Utilisez un système de levage d’une capacité mi-nimum de 2 000 lbs (900 kg) afin de procéder à l’installation de l’attachement à la fourragère.

• Assurez-vous d’être conforme à la règlementation locale en ce qui concerne la largeur excessive sur les voies publiques.

PROCÉDURE OBLIGATOIRE POUR ARRÊTER LE RAMASSEUR D’ANDAINS

Peu importe le type de machine, il est toujours plus dangereux d’effectuer un travail quelconque sur une machine qui est en opération. Par conséquent. avant de nettoyer ou de graisser celle-ci, veuillez suivre les procédures suivantes :

1. Baisser l’attachement au sol;2. Désengager la prise de force du tracteur;3. Arrêter le moteur du tracteur et retirer la clé de

contact;4. Engager le frein de sûreté;5. Attendre que tout mouvement rotatif soit arrêté;6. Enlever la prise de force de l’arbre du tracteur;7. Bloquer les roues.

DANGER : Tout contact avec l’arbre de transmission en rotation peut causer des blessures sérieuses et même la mort.

Le Ramasseur d’andains est équipé de gardes et de protecteurs à tous les endroits susceptibles d’être la cause d’accidents éventuels et/ou de dangers quel-conques; ces gardes et ces protecteurs ne nuisent d’aucune façon au bon fonctionnement de la ma-chine. Différents décalques indiquant ces endroits dangereux sont apposés de façon appropriée sur l’attachement.

AVERTISSEMENT : Avant d’opérer l’attache-ment Ramasseur d’andains, s’assurer que toutes les règles de sécurité sont observées par tous ceux qui opèrent ou qui travaillent avec et/ou près de cette machine.

AVERTISSEMENT : S’assurer que tous les gardes ou protecteurs soient bien en place, de façon sécuritaire, avant de démarrer le moteur du tracteur.

De façon générale, nous suggérons d’être très pru-dent et de faire tous les ajustements nécessaires lors de la mise en opération de l’attachement.

Si votre fourragère est équipée d’un système d’in-corporation de liquide, se référer au manuel de l’opérateur de la fourragère pour les instructions.

Les sabots (voir page 18) doivent êtres ajustés se-lon la hauteur de votre fourragère.

Votre attachement Ramasseur d’andains est équipé d’une anse pour le transport (voir page 18) pour faciliter l’entretien tout en assurant plus de sécurité.

SPÉCIFICATIONS POUR COUPLES DE SERRAGE

Le tableau donne les couples de serrage adéquats pour les boulons utilisés sur la machine. Vérifier le serrage des boulons périodiquement. Lorsqu’il faut remplacer un boulon, s’assurer qu’il possède la même dureté.

AJUSTEMENT DE LA TENSION DE LA CHAÎNE MOTRICE DE LA TARIÈRE - FIGURES 4 ET 5Pour tendre la chaîne (item 1) de la tarière, il faut ajuster le tendeur afin que la chaîne soit droit au dessus et qu’elle fasse le tour du rouleau de polyé-thylène en bas (item 2). Utiliser les boulons (item 3) et les trous (item 4) pré-vus pour cet ajustement.

ROUES PNEUMATIQUES - FIGURE 9Ajuster la hauteur des roues selon la condition du terrain. Des supports troués (item 1) sont prévus à cet effet. Bien resserrer les écrous lorsque l’ajuste-ment est terminé. Il est recommandé d’ajuster les dents à ressort (item 2) du Ramasseur de 2 à 4” (5 à 10 cm), selon les conditions d’opération.

NOTE : Plus les dents sont près du sol, plus il y a risque de ramasser des débris (pièces métalliques ou roches).

AJUSTEMENTS - ENTRETIENSABOT - FIGURE 10Ajuster les sabots (item 1) selon la hauteur de la fourragère en utilisant les boulons (item 2) et les trous d’ajustement (item 3). Bien resserrer les bou-lons.

NOTE : Les sabots devraient être ajustés de 1“ à 2“ plus haut que les roues.

Les sabots servent à protéger le Ramasseur contre les dénivellations du terrain. Ce sont les roues qui servent à ajuster la hauteur du Ramasseur.

PEIGNE - FIGURE 11L’ajustement du peigne (item 1) se fait selon le vo-lume de l’andain. Le peigne est ajusté en usine pour un andain moyen. Il est possible de modifier la posi-tion du peigne pour l’adapter à l’andain. Pour modi-fier sa position verticale, retirer la goupille (item 2) et insérer le peigne dans le 2e trou prévu à cet effet.

Il est aussi possible de changer le mouvement du peigne en desserrant l’écrou (item 3). Ajuster ensuite à la position désirée puis resserrer l’écrou (item 3).

Finalement, pour changer la position avant/arrière du peigne, desserrer les écrous (item 4). Ajuster en-suite à la position désirée puis resserrer les écrous (item 4).

ENTREPOSAGE

IMPORTANT : Un entretien et un entreposage adéquat sont des conditions essentielles à la fiabili-té à long terme de la machine et ne devraient jamais être négligés.

À la fin de la saison, nous vous suggérons de suivre les procédures suivantes :

1. Nettoyer l’attachement Ramasseur d’andains de toute la terre, poussière, matériel, excès de graisse ou toute autre substance qui pourrait ab-sorber l’eau et provoquer la rouille;

NOTE : NE JAMAIS utiliser un fusil à eau sous pres-sion afin de nettoyer les chaînes convoyeuses, les roulements et les embrayages.

2. Lubrifier l’attachement au complet;

3. Faire tourner la machine quelques minutes et l’inspecter. S’assurer qu’aucun boulon ne soit desserré ou manquant, en particulier sous les disques;

4. Nettoyer et huiler les composantes qui ont été exposées à l’usure;

5. Peinturer les parties endommagées ou usées;
