Comments from the FAU Community

“Dr. Saunders expressed a complex and articulate vision for FAU. Dr. Saunders is approachable, productive, innovative, collaborative, and articulate without being glib.”

“She has a combination of Florida experience (at USF) that enables her to understand our state, a strong academic background, and urban experience serving students as the Provost at Cleveland State University.”

“When she helped to found the first College of Science at Cleveland State, she ‘went to everyfaculty member to ask what they wanted, rather than imposing my view.’ That is thecollaborative approach we need at FAU.”

“She suggested that we read a book titled Stewards of Place, about how universities canpartner with their communities. That is the focus on outreach that we need at FAU.”

“She expressed a strong ‘commitment to the humanities and the arts.’ This is the vision ofsupport for creativity and all disciplines that we need at FAU.”

“By every measure, Dr. Saunders is the best choice!!”
