Eyes background

Here are similar ideas to how we want our board to be. We need to be careful to not make it too girly or sci-fi like.

Preparation

Lucy found the eye images and printed some at home then Issy photo-copied them and we all cut them out and Soraya did some more cutting in her free study period. We did some smaller than others and they were all different colours.

Creating

Firstly, we covered the whole board in small cuts of text from newspapers so it was just black and white. We made sure there were no images from the paper to avoid adding extra colour. Here are some images of Soraya adding the eyes. This board took around 3 hours to make including the sticking of newspaper, we used PVA glue for this.

Finished board Here is the eye board when we filmed in the assembly hall. With the lighting it looked really good. The background looked really effective in both close ups and long shots.

Filming

In primmer assembly hall we used our usual layout with Lucy using the tripod and Issy getting close ups, Issy used a chair to control the filming. We also swapped so Lucy got some close-ups whilst Issy controlled the chair. Soraya had to be careful she didn’t have her arms outside the shot as the wall was quite small. Luckily we also had Luke to work the lights in the hall.
