TO BUILD AN NPC: Take a Flat. The level of the flat is the level that the NPC will be. Ex: lvl 1 flat will be a lvl 1 NPC Build your city. As soon as it is done, build a rallyspot. Speed it up. Now Reinforce you real city with all the workers, gold, lumber, ect from you new city ABANDON it by going to your real city and clicking cities in your Town Hall That's it. NPC right by you to raid at will

Capping an LVL 10 NPCEarly on in the game you will need to make lvl 5 npcs so that you can farm while you army is small. But as you grow you will see that lvl 5 npcs wont be able to feed you army. And NPC's will be removed daily after initial start of servers. For this you will need to make lvl 10 npcs. Lvl 10 npcs will also be need to train your heroes so they can lvl up and eventually have a hero that can make instant anything. And a final use for lvl 10s is capping them. A lvl 10 npc has all buildings lvl 10 so when capped you will have complete many quest and not have to upgrade most buildings. The down side is that you will have to demolish buildings to make barracks and farms to sawmills/iron mines unless you want a farm city. Method 1 1st wave - 3rd waves Hero attack- 170+ 93k archers 3k warriors 1k workers 1k pikeman 1k swordsmen 1k scouts Spam the NPC with: 20k Warriors 15k Archers 3k scouts continue until capped This method is best for npcs close to you city. And you only need one city. Method 2 1st wave Hero attack- 170+ 93k archers 3k warriors 1k workers 1k pikeman 1k swordsmen 1k scouts 2nd wave Hero attack- 120+ 30k archers 30k warriors 1k scouts 1k workers

3rd wave - 39th wave Hero attack-100+ 10k warriors 1k archers 40th wave + Hero attack- What ever hero you want 2 take over that city 20k warriors 5k archers 1k pikeman 1k swordsman

2k workers For this you will need to time each attack to land withing 5 seconds. And you will also need 5 cities or be in an alliance where your alliance members can help you cap the npc. This method s best for when you want to cap a specific npc over a distance.

The algorithm I used for these rankings is very simple: ATK+INT+LEADERSHIP, I then arrange them by who has most! This is, of course, an updated Attack Effectiveness Ranking System. They are arranged best, to worst. Since I do not have a complete list of every historical hero, I can't make it 100% accurate.

Hero gear has a cool down time after you upgrade, to skip the cool down, you can take down your workshop one level and rebuild then it will be refreshed and you can upgrade without the wait time

Defense typesNow that you know how the battle works you will need to set up you city. But since The cottage/barrack ratio depends on your hero attack I wont bother. But your walls do play a role on how battles go.

5k DefenseThis is the most used type of defense in evony. Typically you are suppose to have each type of wall fortification on your wall. Preferred Wall Defense (well for me) 16100 Ats 2k traps 2k abatis 100 DTs 50 logs Preferred Troops low layering larger amount of archers 400k archers 1mil wars 600k scouts 400k swords 20k pike 10k cavs 5k phracts (these are the important troops) Strengths: Effective against cav, phract and ram waves when layered properly. Lower Food Upkeep

Compact DefenseThe key to a Compact Defense(CD) is 0 traps abatis, and defense trebs. as this forces the enemy to fight your entire army at once instead of 1 at a time. Preferred Wall Setup (well for me) 18k ATs 250 rolling logs

Preferred Troops Heavy Layering Archers aren't needed as much as in a 5k defense but always good. 300k Archers 500k wars 600k scouts 100k pike 500k swords 100k cavs 50k phracts 4k pults*

Strengths: Very affective against Archer RBs and mech hits Forces enemy to use more troops Sturdy even when player is offline

Weaknesses: Sustainable to Archer and mech RBs Not so stable when offline

Weakness: Troop Upkeep can get more expensive do to heavy layering Open to cav and phract smacks Sustains massive damage from a ram attack

Breaking Defense

Breaking Defense

Best way to break a defense with 5k settlers is a mech wave or an archer RB.

Best way to break a CD is a ram attack, cavsmack or phractsmack. The closer you are to the defending city the more effective you can make the hit. Adding 1 archer, 1 ballista, and 1 pult will give your attack 3 extra rounds free from fire from enemy archers. But at the same time will increase march time. So very important to know when to add them and when to hold off adding them.

5k defenses are weak to these attacks as the defending troops march to attacking opposing army depending on there speed. This forces defending troops to spread out allowing archers to pick them off 1 unit at a time.

CD have no traps or abatis leaving them weak to these attacks as they get in range of all troops in 1 round doing serious damage.

NOTE: the fact is that this is a very nuanced game and saying 'the best way to generally tackle this generic situation is x' will never be true because very small details can very significantly alter results

There is a level 100 King/Queen in each Level 12 HC. They have an estimated 300 Attack/Intelligence. You cannot capture the Kig/Queen. There is no known variance between a King/Queen.

Abilities of a Level 12 Capturing a Mini-Capital City (Level 12) will give you the equivalent of colonizing everything within 374 square miles of you. With a Mini-Capital City you can use Sow Discord, Draft, Disarm troops, Re-deploy Population, and levy food for EVERY SINGLE CITY within 374(22x17) square miles of you. You also get a lv 12 Farm, Ironmine, Quarry and Sawmill, with the ability to build level 12 resource fields(you need a mich script to get to lv 10, but you do not need one to upgrade to lv 11/12) Note: You must be an Earl if you want to impose policies on other cities.

Methods on How to CaptureIntro: The problem I see a lot of times is that many players do not spend money on this game, do not have Historic Heroes, and quite frankly don't have the super heroes that many guides, say to have. It is just out of their capabilites. This guide will give you ways to take a Historic City from attack levels from 200-500. That way, everyone is happy. VERY IMPORTANT: This theory ONLY works for the troop combination: Cavalry/Swordsmen/Battering Rams. Attacking w/ 200 Attack hero (at least 100 leadership) Preparation: Before you attack a lv 12, you must first prepare a bit. First your going to need to have at least 7 200 attack heroes with 100+ leadership. Anything less, and this method won't work. Your also going to need 1 city 1 mile away from the Historical in question(loyalty spamming city), and 1 city relatively close to the Historical City in question(spearhead city). You will also need to have a War Horn applied. Penicillin will gave you 3% of your troops back. Don't waste a corsolet on these attacks. They have minimal effects. Obviously, you will need an open city slot. Spam waves- 3k Warriors. If you have some extra cities that you can send from, send small short waves of 3k warriors that will help take down t/a/d. Wave 1- 100k Warriors. This wave will clear ~10k Cavs, which is necessary with a low attack hero. Wave 2: 94k Archers, 3k Pikemen, 3k Swordsmen. Clears Cavs, Archers, and ~25k Swordsmen. Wave 3: 94k Archers, 2k Pikemen, 2k Swordsmen, 2k Warriors. Clears 80k Swords. Wave 4: 94k Archers, 2k Pikemen, 2k Swordsmen, 2k Warriors. Clears remaining Swordsmen and 85k Warriors Wave 5: 96k Archers, 2k Pikemen, 2k Swordsmen. Clears 325k Warriors. Wave 6: 96k Archers, 2k Pikemen, 2k Swordsmen. Clears 325k Warriors.

Loyalty waves: Space all your attacks with 30s between each wave. This way, you will have a wave hitting every 30s. Your waves should look like this: 15k Archers/30k Warriors. Make sure you send 10 at a time. Also, switch all your heroes to Wiseman set for their gear, and make Mount level 0 to avoid confusion. By the 40-50th wave set, you will have captured your lv 12 HURAH! Total Troops needed: 800k Archers, 500k Warriors. 574k Archers and 100k Warriors in your spearhead city. Attacking w/ 300 attack Hero Preparation: Before you attack a lv 12, you must first prepare a bit. First your going to need to have at least 6 300 attack heroes with 100+ leadership. Anything less, and this method won't work. Your also going to need 1 city 1 mile away from the Historical in question(loyalty spamming city), and 1 city relatively close to the Historical City in question(spearhead city). Abilities of a 14 Capturing a Sub-Capital city, (this is what I call them), will give you the equivalent of colonizing everything within 4356 square miles of you. With a Sub-State Capital you can use Sow Discord, Draft, Disarm troops, Re-deploy Population, and levy food for EVERY SINGLE CITY within 4356 square miles of you. You also get a lv 14 Farm, Ironmine, Quarry, and Sawmill. Note: You must be an Earl if you want to impose policies on other cities.

Methods on How to CaptureIntro: The problem I see a lot of times is that many players do not spend money on this game, do not have Historic Heroes, and quite frankly don't have the super heroes that many guides, say to have. Ending note: A big problem with this guide is the fact that most people have a wide range of heroes. Ex. I have HenryIV at 500 attack, and some regular hero at 400 attack. Well that's a problem of course. What you have to do next actually requires some brain power, so bear with me. Use the kill rates of the heroes and form your own battle plan. So let's say you have all 500 attack heroes, and 1 600 attack hero. Use one of the waves mentioned in the 600 attack hero section, and plan your attack accordingly.

Guide to quickly colonize 400 citiesSeems like an overwhelming pain, but the achievment buff reward of 10% increased item drop rate is more than worth the effort and can/should be done in the early stages of the game. With an organized system, it's really not so bad. Here is what I suggest: 1. Search around your cities within a 100 mile radius or so, looking for any player cities with 2k or less prestige that are NOT in beginner status and that aren't already colonized. 99.9% of the time these are abandoned accounts. If you have the time, try to find at least 50 or so. 2. On a sheet of paper, write down the coordinates of each one you find, declaring war whenever possible (it has a 5 minute cooldown). To make things simple, you should mark a W next to each city you declare war on. 3. Set up 1 or more of your cities to have a feasting hall full of junk heroes, except maybe your mayor. The more heroes the better. The reason you want junk heroes is because you don't want to risk any loyalty drop/capture of your good heroes in cases of failed attacks. 4. After you have entered war status with each city, send a junk hero with 1 scout to colonize. (mark an A or something next to each city you attack to keep track) Most of the time, your colonize report will be successful with no defending troops found. The ones that fail, you should either scratch off your list or create a separate list as they can still be farmed with a small troop of warriors or archers etc. Though depending on how far away it is, it might not be worth the march time required. 5. As soon as you succesfully colonize each city, immediately recall your troops to ensure they do not successfully suppress the city. If they do, you will have to wait 8 hours suppression time, plus 24 hours colony abandon time before you can hit them again. Otherwise, you can hit them every 8 hours as soon as suppression period ends. With proper timing, you could attack each colony 5 times during the 48 hour war period. With a list of say 50 colonies, that is 250 colonies in only 2 days. That alone is enough to get you the 8% increase item drop buff. Keep in mind, after each server reset a few of the cities on your list may get deleted, just search for more if your list gets too short. Don't be discouraged if you don't see the number on your achievement list increase right away, it only seems to update for me when I reset evony. After you have gone through your list, the job only gets easier. Assuming you are still in war status, set up your attack for the first city on your list, and simply change the coordinates on the attack screen for the rest of the heroes in that city as you go down the list. Once you have confirmed which cities have "no defending troops" you can go ahead and send your good heroes too if they aren't busy.
