Invitation for authors
European Journal of Physics
For teachers of physics at university level
About the journalWith a world-wide readership and authors from every continent, European Journal of Physics
is a truly international journal dedicated to maintaining and improving the standard of taughtphysics in universities and other higher education institutes.
We welcome articles that provide original insights and aim to enhance learning inone or more areas of physics.
Articles include:• Explanations of how contemporary research can inform the understanding of physics at
university level• Original insights into the derivation of results
• Descriptions of novel laboratory exercises illustrating new techniques of general interest • Articles of a scholarly or reflective nature that are aimed to be of interest to,
and at a level appropriate for, physics students or recent graduates• Descriptions of successful and original student projects, experimental,
theoretical or computational• Discussions of the history, philosophy and epistemology of physics, at a level
accessible to physics students and teachers• Reports of new developments in physics curricula and the techniques for teaching physics
Share your insights and teaching experienceEuropean Journal of Physics publishes papers covering theoretical and practical aspects of teaching physics at university level. All papers are peer reviewed by experienced teachers and
practitioners at university level, and the majority are reviewed by an Editorial Board member (for a full list of members see www.iop.org/journals/ejp).We ask authors to indicate the usefulness of their material to physics education andmake clear the level of readership (undergraduate, graduate or general physicist) for which the article is intended.
Benefits for authors• Fast and impartial peer-review – receipt to first decision in under 30 days on average• Online article submission and manuscript tracking service • Included in the ISI Science Citation Index journal citation reports• No page charges• Free colour in the online article
