The Context

• Membership approval of key principles in Brussels 2010

• Establishment of workgroup under auspices of the MGB

• Need to engage specialist legal and procurement advice

• Development of formal statement of requirement and supporting procedural documents

Key principles - 1

• Promote records systems that comply with the MoReq2010 specification

• Encourage a new generation of records systems with proven interoperability through their MoReq2010 certification

• Establish an international network of professional and accredited MoReq2010 test centres

• Ensure that all accredited test centres adopt the official MoReq2010 test framework

• Allow for testing of both dedicated records systems and business systems with built-in records management components

• Allow accredited test centres to test both common-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and individual site installations

• Allow consumers to easily discover MoReq2010 compliant products and sites

• Allow DLM Forum members to view test reports on compliant products

• Ensure that advertising claims of MoReq2010 compliance and “compatibility” are easily ratified or refuted; and

• Create a revenue stream to support the development of MoReq2010 through charging fees for product and site certification
