What is Enterprise Media Gateway (eMG)?

Enterprise Media Gateway (eMG) delivers simple and reliable telephony with a rich feature set that empowers your business to save money, drive productivity and increase customer satisfaction. With a range of embedded features that help your business to optimise productivity by providing the flexibility to meet the needs of office, home or your mobile workforce, eMG is your communications solution.

eMG FunctionalityeMG adopts VoIP technologies running on an optimised hybrid switching platform (using IP technology (Internet Protocol) and/or TDM (Time Division Multiplexing which combines your analogue and digital channels) to interface with the outside world. It supports analogue exchange lines, ISDN exchange lines (Basic Rate and Primary Rate ISDN) and SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) sessions. For flexibility and ease of use, an array of user handsets are available, including Analogue, Digital and IP handsets, as well as 3rd party SIP handsets. Mobility is provided via DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony i.e. cordless telephones) extensions, Wi-Fi handsets as well as a smartphone application that supports Android and iOS operating systems. The mobile application can be downloaded from the relevant app stores.

In addition, eMG is compatible with advanced communication applications such as the contact centre solution and IPCR (IP Call Recording) solutions. The ability to communicate seamlessly over IP networks delivers advantages over existing hybrid technologies providing access efficiency and productive applications in a simple and cost effective manner.

Networking: It is simple to network your main office and branches. You can network your branch offices with your main office by simply adding an additional license - thereby eliminating inter-branch call costs.

UCS Mobile Client:

The UCS (Unified Communications Solution) is an application that can be downloaded onto any Android or iOS smartphone. The mobile phone becomes an extension of the PBX and thus calls could be made from the mobile phone via the PBX using a normal exchange connection. The UCS application also provides presence as well as video conferencing via your smartphone. The UCS mobile client can be used in remote locations provided that there is mobile coverage. Users can connect via the Mobile UCS from any location where there is WiFi, 3/4G or LTE access to the internet, with the prerequisite on the PBX that a Public static IP or a Dynamic DNS on the ADSL, is available.

UCS Desktop Client: The UCS Desktop client is a simple desktop software tool to replace or complement your desk phone enabling the use of your PC as a normal phone. Our standard UCS features include Instant Messaging (IM), presence, one-on-one video conferencing and Outlook synchronisation. The Premium version includes the above as well as multi-party video conferencing, Outlook calendar synchronisation, white-boarding, as well as desktop and file sharing.

IPECS Attendant:

Call Recording Options:
