SOCCER CAMP UAB

GOALKEEPING SESSIONSSpecialized Goalkeeping Sessions are held each week of camp. UAB is known as the breeding ground for top class goalkeepers. Our UAB keepers have been winning awards both nationally & internationally. Individualized training and evaluation is an important element in our goalkeeper’s program. Small group training and full sided games further enhance opportunities for growth. The combination of individual and team training is what separates this camp from the “Keeper only” camps.

RESIDENTIAL Commuter

The Premier Camp is dedicated to the individual development of aspiring soccer players, this camp provides an enhanced learning environment. To excel, you must have the technical abil-

ity to control the ball, the tactical ability to make the right decisions and the composure and confidence to suceed. Our camp is carefully structured to provide training in all three areas. Skill training, small and large group tactics, and 11 v 11 games provide the opportunity to improve every aspect of your game. Our coaches & players, some of the best in the country, are eager to share their knowledge & skills.

The Academy Camps are designed for the more experienced soccer player looking for an intensive training pro-gram focused on individual and team tactics. Afternoon and evening games will be highly competitive. The training program includes training by position as well as skill and tactical sessions. This camp specializes in developing your game, while challenging you against other competitive players.

The older campers attending the academy camp, will train with college coaches using the same practice plans used with their college teams. During staff games older campers will have the opportunity to play against current and former college players. Older campers will also attend a special classroom session to help orient players to the college re-cruiting process. If you play year round, play on a very competitive club team that travels to out of state tournaments or have state or region team experience, then the academy camp is the right place for you. All applicants are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

DAYSessionsCamp sessions focus on skill develop-ment for young soccer players. Camp-ers learn soccer skills and techniques through exercises and games specifically designed for the young player. Campers are encouraged to learn and develop at their own pace under the careful guid-ance of the director. The emphasis is always on fun and learning.

LOCATIONDay Camp I -West Campus Field on the UAB campus. Day Camp II -Birmingham JCC on Montclair Rd.

COSTThe camp fee is $215.00. A reduced rate of $205.00 per camper is available to families enrolling more than one child or enrolling one child for more than one week. Campers will bring their lunch from home each day.
