Real-time Controller

The objective:To control MHD plasma instabilities in FTU using EC power deposition. This requires:-Mode detection-Mode tracking by EC deposition

Actuators:2 Antennas (each with 3 degree of freedom) and 2 EC Power Gyrotrons

Sensors:

12 ECE, 5 Mirnov coils and 6 encoders for each launcher axis

Each launcher is moved by three AC brushless motors. The two launchers will scan rDEP in the range 0<rDEP/a<0.75 with an accuracy of 0.5 cm and a dynamical performance of 1 cm to be scanned in 10 ms.
