Mainly focus on the transactions in the field of trade in goods

WHAT IS THE SUBJECT ABOUT?

- WTO/FTA Agreements- States- Non-discrimination- Tariff/Non-tariff barriers to trade- Trade policy- Surplus and deficit- Protection- DSB

Overview on international trade transactions (3 hours);

Modes of international trade transactions (9 hours);

Contracts in international trade transactions (30 hours);

HOW WILL YOU STUDY?

Understand the modes of international trade transactions;

Draft contracts for the international sales of goods;

Master the International Commercial Terms (Incoterms 2010) and the laws governing international trade transactions;

Accumulate core knowledge to prepare for other courses (Logistics and Freight Forwarding; Insurance; Payment)

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED OUTCOME?

Wearing student cards: No card, no entry;

No talking in class, turn off or activate Vibrate profile of mobile phones;

Contacting lecturer by email is preferred;

Cheating is prohibited;

Preparation for next lessons is strictly required;

Office hour: to be announced weekly.

MATERIALS

Assessment:-10%: Attendance- 30%: Mid-term test- 60%: Final exam Note:- A number of exercises are distributed at the end of one class and collected at the beginning of the next class. Students need to read materials to answer the questions. Attendance assessment is based on the number of exercises handed in. - Bonus points are available for students with best scores;- Materials are not accepted in all exams.
