ENDANGERED SPECIES ART EXHIBITION
GUIDELINES Subject matter
Artwork should celebrate an animal that lives or migrates through the United States and its
waters OR a plant or flower that is found in the United States. The main subject of the
artwork should be an organism that is on the threatened/endangered species list, is
considered a recovered species, or is considered a candidate species.

Artwork Artwork MUST be original.NO lettering, words, signatures, or other markings can be visible on submitted artwork. First name, grade, school, and species will be added by staff prior to display.
Submit a photo of your artwork All submissions to be emailed to [email protected] by May 15, 2020.Include your first name, grade, school, and a brief description of your artwork. Digital submission must be high resolution, preferably at least 600 dpi. Accepted file types include: jpg, jpeg, tiff, and pdf.

Best works will be displayed at the River Legacy Living Science Center in August 2020 Depending on the number of submissions received, 3-4 works will be chosen to be printed and displayed to the public from the following age categories: K-2nd, 3rd-6th, 7th-9th, and 10th-12th. Works will be chosen based on quality and overall portrayal of the species. You will receive an email if your work is chosen. Best works will be displayed at River Legacy Living Science Center in the Discovery Room in August 2020. Go to www.riverlegacy.org for Discovery Room prices.
This exhibition is independently facilitated, separate from the Endangered Species Youth Art Contest facilitated by the Endangered Species Coalition. For art to be considered for submission to the Endangered
Species Youth Art Contest, your artwork must follow the guidelines posted at www.endangered.org.
