WHAT IS THEEMPOWERING WOMEN LEADERS PROGRAM?

WHO IS IT FOR?

WOMEN who know the importance of:• Stepping away and gaining more clarity about the leader you aspire to be, assessing

how you are doing as a leader, and the influence you want to have on your organization, community, family, and life

• Gaining clarity on how others see you, through 360° leadership feedback (Centre for Creative Leadership Benchmarks) and feedback from members of your cohort

• Aligning behaviours with your values and capabilities• Navigating difficult situations, particularly in cultures that may not have the same

values as you

Why should your organization invest in women’s leadership training?According to UN Women and UN Global Compact2, action towards gender equality:• Makes sound business sense• Increases the talent pool• Sharpens the competitive edge• Fosters sustainable development• Benefits us all

The Edwards School of Business was one of the first signatories for the Canadian Coalition to Empower Women, spearheaded by The Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women.

The Empowering Women Leaders program provides an opportunity to step away and have a conversation with other women. This program is for women, designed and offered by women, and provides an environment where women can discuss their experiences, leadership challenges and successes.

“[Through taking this program], I have reconnected with myself and been reminded of my strengths. I have been given new tools and perspectives to move forward in an intentional way to continue to grow as a leader. So very grateful!”
