1. Led multidisciplinary, collaborative effort to reduce total ischemic time for expanded criteria deceased donor kidney allografts, resulting in better allograft function, patient morbidity, earlier discharge and overall resource utilization, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, 2005. My team won the institutional award for Quality and Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Quality Improvement Initiative.

2. Established critical care pathway for kidney transplantation, Piedmont Hospital, 2007, resulting in earlier Foley catheter removal and discharge.

3. Founded and was lead physician for Multidisciplinary Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) clinic and weekly HCC-specific conference, Piedmont Hospital, 2006-2015.

a. Designed and implemented process that streamlined patients’ entry

into the clinic and increased the efficiency of care delivery as well as long-term follow-up.

4. Founded and directed Piedmont Hospital Hepatobiliary Service, increasing

total hospital volume for complex hepatobiliary cases from approximately 5 to over 200 per year, 2007-2015.

5. Co-founded and serving as president of Georgia Liver Coalition, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing and eliminating deaths from HCC in Georgia residents with chronic liver disease, 2013-present.

6. Assisting with development of Multidisciplinary HCC Clinic at The Atlanta VA

Medical Center, 2017-present.
